Plastic melted onto diffuser, requiring replacement
  • Frances from Anchorage, AK
  • Difficult
  • 30 - 60 mins
My son ordered the part, but gave up installing it. We called in a professional appliance repairman because the dryer had to be partially dismantled to remove the drum and a belt so three sets of holes could be aligned to secure the replacement diffuser. My daughter had to lend a hand to hold one piece in place while the repairman threade d the screws because the drum was too deep for him to be able to reach both front and back pieces. Definitely not a one-person job for this particular model.

Dryer Belt Squealing
  • Tom from Aquone, NC
  • Really Easy
  • 30 - 60 mins
  • Screw drivers
I followed the provided video precisely. Made the job quite easy. My only problem is I'm 6'2", 275 lbs. with bad knees. Can't go at it exactly as shown in the video because I can't squat down in front of the dryer without pain. Called in a neighbor of smaller stature for him to come from one side, and me from the other. Worked flawle ssly. Video is excellent. I do recommend wearing gloves and/or long sleeve shirt. I cut up my arms a bit, but that could have been easily avoided.
