HTDX100GD6WW Hotpoint Dryer - Instructions

Two screws under the dryer door then the top comes off.Then two screws hold the front on come out. 4 screws top is off and front is off the rest is no problem.

Follow the instructions from YOUTUBE to replace the new drive belt..

I followed the directions I found on my tablet on youtube.

Ordered & received new Timer & Knob. Disconnected dryer from power.
Located screws on back of dryer console & removed screws so console could be tilted forward.Used cell phone to take picture of timer with connections to keep track of where to reconnect wires. Unsnapped connections to timer. Removed old timer and attached new ti ... Read more mer. Attached new knob to front of console. Plugged dryer back up to power and tested by turning new knob. Reattached console with screws. Done!

We watched the YouTube video and had it installed in no time. Saved money doing it ourselves.

After that it went pretty easily, reassembly went in reverse and. That was that!

Snap off and then snap New one on.

Just slid right on.

When I ordered it in the email receipt were directions- just click installation instructions- I also looked at u tube video by just typing in GE Dryer timer repair. I followed the Youtube video created by PartSelect and it was SUPER easy.
Removed dial from front panel
I unscrewed the back panel, which released the knob panel on the front and tipped that forward to access the timer device.
Released the locking tab and spun the entire timer counter clockwise until it released. Pulled ea ... Read more ch connecting wire off and immediately replaced it on the new timer so I didn't mix up the order.
Once wires were attached, I replaced timer turning clockwise until it locked in place.
Re-positioned front panel and replaced back panel installing screws.
Replaced dial and dryer was ready to go!

Pulled the drum an found spade clip burned on wire. Hi limit Thermostat crumbled/ broke while pulling spade clip so I trimmed back the wire, cleaned the spade clip and soldered the wire back on. Isolated the other thermostats in the system and tested for resistance. Reassembled dryer.
