HTDX100EM4WW Hotpoint Dryer - Instructions

The shaft of the previous nob had cracked and even super glue would not hold it together. The dryer timer could no longer be set without it. Slipped it off and slipped on the new one and it worked perfectly.

Replaced new screen in place of old one.

Wife was out of town, visiting family. I broke the door strike by wedging the dryer door between the laundry room door, closed the laundry room door and it snapped the door strike breaking it. It snapped right in, fits and works perfect like nothing ever happened. The wife will never know :)

Removed old one, inserted new one in slot. Just have to be sure it's turned in the right direction.

Just slid right on.

Open the door and removed the part. Installed the new part and started the dryer.

These buttons are easy to fix. Just line them up with the D shaped shaft and push the buttons to get them to go on.

Searched the sites order # online, called, ordered, delivered PDQ, unpackaged, popped in. That was it.

All I had to do was remove the damaged filter and replace it with te new one. It could not ave been easier.

Very easy fix since it was only the knob

My daughter, who has the dryer in Florida, made the repair herself. She removed the broken handle that had been temporarily taped in place. Cleaned off tape residue with Goo-Gone. Then took the new handle and snapped it into place. Worked just like it was supposed to.

Just placed it where it belonged.

Very simple. Ordered the part. Received correct part and fit perfectly.

if your unit has over 6,000 hours of operations, one needs to remove the front panel and inspect the sliders that the drum rides on. The video were very helpful to replace the sliders. Unfortunately, my dryer had over 10,000 hours of operations over a 30 years period, hence a major repair costing over $200.00 dollars. The drum sliders ... Read more were gone, hence the drum eat through the plastic guides. More so, the drum started to eat away the front panel. If the dryer is eating your closes and making a noise, one is looking at a $200.00 repair job. Hence check the sliders early will save one $$$$.

removed remaining handle pieces and simply snapped the new part in place. very simple,very easy.
