HTDP120GD3WW Hotpoint Dryer - Instructions

The timer knob was stripped, so it was stuck in the off position. Ordered the "D"-shaped knob and just placed it on the connector and everything is working find.

I moved the dryer away from the wall and unplugged the electrical cord. I unscrewed the 4 screws on the top of the dryer to gain access to the Dryer Rotary Start Switch. I pulled the part out of its set location and carefully removed the clip on wires. I then carefully attached the wires to the exact locations on the new part and put it b ... Read more ack into the proper location. I installed the screws, plugged in the power cord and moved the dryer back to its location for operation. I turned the circuit breaker back on. I failed to mention that I turned that off first of all. I set the dryer control to dry and turned the Dryer Rotary Start Switch to on and it worked immediately. This took about 12 minutes totally from start to finish.

Slid off the old part and slid back on the new

remove top of cabinet and front panel. placed belt around drum and replaced idler pully placed new belt around pully and was done. not a hard job at all. replced front panel and top. thanks to a speedy delivery of my parts dryer was only down two days.

Tried to replace with home-store bought 6w light. Looked the same, fit into socket, but didn't work. Actually exploded when I turned it on! Be sure to use OEM part like this one. Worked perfectly!

Remove front by removing two screws at top of door opening. Remove front of dryer carefully becsuse of electrical connections for door switch. Drum sliders simply silde in slots at top. (4 are required for total replacement) Door seal simply fits in the groove and locks over end tab. NOTE Do not run dryer any more than absolutelty nessary ... Read more without lower seal in place.

First unplug dryer to prevent electrical shock. To remove the front of the dryer, open the door in top left and top right corners is a machine screw. They can be removed with a Phillips screw driver. I unscrewed the inside of the dishwasher door and clearly saw the old interlock switch. This dishwasher has two, but it was obvious that one switch worked and one didn't (one switched was permanently pressed in). I removed the old interlock switch. I easily put the new switch in, reattached the dishwasher door, and it works perfectly!

Clips on the inside of the door handle had snapped off, 1 minute later it worked like new. NO TOOLS required! So happy my older appliances can have new life by the parts carried by PartSelect. Thanks!

I first unplugged the unit, opened the top, disconnected and took off the control panel, took off the front panel to determine the source of the squeaking noise coming from the Dryer. I saw that 3 of the 4 Front Drum Glides were gone and the drum had worn away significant amounts of plastic from the Top Bearing Assembly. I purchased the ... Read more Top Bearing Assembly and a set of 4 Front Drum Glides. Disassembled the damaged parts and reassembled with the new replacement parts. The reassembly took less than 20 minutes. I plugged in the Dryer and viola! It works as good as new.

Took apart by removing the top and front panel. Found drum rubbing due to worn glides and felt.

My husband broke the door handle, but of course, i had to be the one to order the part & fix it.
