The interior light in your refrigerator is controlled by a switch that is activated when the door is opened and closed. If your refrigerator light will not turn on, or stays on when the door is closed, you could have a faulty switch. The switch is spring-loaded and is a generally closed type of switch meaning there should be no continuity when the button is pushed, and continuity through the switch when it is no longer engaged. This plastic, white, OEM switch is sourced directly from the manufacturer, is sold individually and is easy to replace. The repair usually takes less than 15 minutes and requires a flat-blade screwdriver and needle-nose pliers.

Filters water without removing minerals that are of value to your health, such as fluoride. Lessens the presence of iron, dirt, and rust, among other impurities. This filter needs to be replaced every six months or 500 gallons. It measures 5.6 inches high and 3.3 inches in diameter. To replace, first remove the old filter, which can be accessed by removing the top shelf. Pull it down and turn counter-clockwise to remove. Take your new filter and check to make sure the tabs are in the horizontal position. Now push it into the compartment and rotate it until it is secure. To remove trapped air, run 2.5 gallons of water through the system in cycles of 30 seconds on and 60 second off. If your model has an indicator on the display, push and hold the Filter or Reset button for about 5 seconds to reset.
