GR-J268LSTP LG Refrigerator - Instructions

Removed 4 screws then removed ice maker unit. Unplugged the old unit. Checked and verified the inlet tube was clean and not blocked. Plugged in the new unit. Placed unit into proper location and verified it was properly in place. Replaced the 4screws. Turned on the unit closed the ice door and it started making ice maybe an hour later by ... I installed the new 3 wire ice maker very easily, but it was defective. I was told that instructions for the return of the defective part would be sent later due to the virus. I have never received the return instruction.
I did receive a credit for the defective part. VERY Satisfied with y’all’s service.

Thanks to videos on You-Tube which showed step by step removal and replacement. It was a simple process. only thing missing on the video was information on the green ground wire.

Slid the replacement shelves into place.

I just popped out the broken bin and slid the new one into the slots on the door.

The fix was easy. I appreciate the expert advice on which part to purchase, as that was difficult to figure out. I received a prompt response to my question and the replacement part came quickly.

The repair was an easy replacement. The problem was the LG part was no longer available from LG or any of the other places I tried. I ordered the needed parts, the correct ones I thought, but when they arrived, I realized they were the wrong parts shipped to me. The reason the wrong parts were shipped to me was because PartsSelect failed to advise me there were none of the parts I needed available so they shipped the left hand basket assembly, door, versus the desire ... Read more d right hand basket assembly, door. I then had to return the wrong parts shipped to me, at my cost of ~$25, and await a refund for the wrong parts originally shipped to me. That's how I did the repair.

unfortunately my fridge stopped working. I purchased another but wanted to try and repair the old one. when ew one arrived, the old one was supposed to be put in garage but instead was hauled away. Had delivery return next day but they had as already removed and lost the handle screw for the bottom freezer and the screw that holds handle ... Read more in place. ordered the handle screw and picked up the nut. very simple to install the screw and put handle back on.
