GLER331AS2 Frigidaire Dryer - Instructions

removed broken knob..pushed new knob on..

Removed top and front of dryer and rear panel. Installed belt and new idler pulley. Reinstalled top and front panel and rear panel. Dryer worked great.

i took the old knob off and put the new one on. it took about 10 seconds. it was simple.the service dept. was extremely helpful in getting the right knob. it was delivered the very next day. i would definitly recommend this company to anyone who has a parts problem.....

I received the Dryer knob in the mail the next day. All I had to do was slip it on. Very easy installation.

Removed access plate in rear, raised top panel, removed two screws holding front panel (with door) put new belt over drum. Threaded belt through path between motor drive and idler wheel. Put everything back together.

My order was shipped very promptly, and was received very quickly. It is wonderful to have this service available on the internet. I can remember how difficult it used to be chasing down parts before. This was impossible in smaller cities.

FOLLOW THE VIDEO!! I was scared to even get into it until I watched the video. Made it easy for me and I have little to no mechanicl skill. Excellent video that made it super easy. Took me an hour as I was taking my time. Now I could probably do the same repair in 20 minutes.

I replaced this belt once before but it squeaked for over a year. This belt from Part Select was much better quality and now the dryer works perfectly, no squealing!

Took the old one off & put the new one on!!! About a 2 minute job!!!

First I have to say that the video on the Parts Select website was invaluable, it truly made the replacement a no brainer. The kit came with everything I need and was a great price.

Unplug the dryer, mine is a stackable so we had to remove the dry from the top of the washer. I then followed the instructions from the video. The only real difference was that my dryer is that is has dual direction tumbling, so there were 2 idler arms instead of one to move in order to un hook the belt. was pretty easy.

I only needed my husband's help a couple of times because 1. To get the dryer off of the washer. And 2. I didn’t have the reach to install the new bearing on the back of the drum.

Took broken knobs off and replaced with new ones. Only one fit snuggly; the other two are raised and wobbly.

We followed the video exactly. The video itself was simple and straight forward. Our model was a bit different than the video's example. The video's example had their spring action for the belt configured differently. When we finally figured out the difference, we were able to finish the job within minutes. The dryer now runs like new. We aren't mechanically inclined. That's why it took us so long. I still would recommend this company to anyone because it saved us time and money. The video really helps!

was just a pop off -pop on knob replacement for worn/broken knobs. Easy on ,less than a minute. There are really good instructions with photos on line - search squeeky dryer. I would add that it is easier if you mount the new bearing assembly on the drum before placing the drum back in the dryer cabinet. I guess this is obvious but was not stated in the referenced instructions. The round bearing slotts fairly easily into the plastic pillow block mounted on the back of the cabinet. Just make sure the small ball bearing remains in the center groove - lots of greese will help this.

Took it out of package..pushed it on.

Put the knob on and done!
