Wife burnt a banana bread when trying to bake it. Top burnt but bottom was fine. She thinks the oven turned itself off but not sure. Then oven would not turn back on. When trying to turn oven back on later it would not turn on got message "feature not available". Electric stove top still worked. I unplugged it and was able to turn it back on but then realized broiler stayed on during back setting. Set oven to 170 degrees bake setting and broiler stayed on and would not turn offf unless I hit cancel

Hello Bob, thank you for your inquiry. The problem seems to be with the Safety Thermostat, and you may need to replace it, the part number is PS11740991. The Safety Thermostat shuts off the range if it overheats. If that does not help, we would recommend checking the Temperature Sensor, part number PS11749737. Turned the breaker off, I removed 2 screws securing the range top to the range, opened the top and secured it in the up position, Removed the 2 screws securing the element ,one at a time I swapped the quick connectors from the old element to the new and repeated the process in reverse. Turn off power. Removed front two screws above oven door jamb and lifted the top. Removed the bracket that holds the element against the glass top and removed the element. Moved brackets from old element to new one, aligning to same numer
