GDF460PST5SS General Electric Dishwasher - Instructions

Chances are your Lower spray arm is worn or jets are off. Replacing this part is very easy. Grab the base of the lower spray arm, twist and pull straight up. Place the new one in and twist lock in place. Repair complete!

After hours looking for problem. I tried cleaning door gasket. Did not stop leak. Looked at lower water spray arm and it was split. It is literally a 2 minute repair to remove and install. Knock on wood, no leaks in the last 10 washes.

Simply put it on and twist it to lock in place. Took all of 3 seconds

Took it out of the box and set rollers on track
rolled in place ALL DONE

Simply pick the basket up to slide wheels onto axles and push in until they lock in place.

Popped the old one off. Popped the new one on. Easy as that.

I took out the old one and simply inserted the replacement. It was an exact replacement part and thus a perfect fit. Dishwasher is working fine now! Cost was around $40 (shipped) which I thought was reasonable.

Simply unscrewed the old damaged arm and screwed the new one on, took less than a minute

A quick twist of the locking nut

The Mid Spray Arm Assembly was not spinning due to a dish that was in placed the dishwasher that was too high and hitting the arm. When it spun until it broke the center shaft. Replacement was easy. After removing power I pulled the upper tray out and removed the Conduit Mid Tiered Assembly by unsnapping it from the tray. I twisted of ... Read more f the broken spindle of the damaged arm assembly from the Conduit Mid Tiered Assembly and inserted the new arm and gently pushed it until it snapped into the Mid Tiered Assembly. Reinstalled the assembled parts by snapping into the tray making sure it was centered.

The old gasket pulled right out with no tools needed,
The new gasket went in the same way.

Results:
It did help on one side, but the bottom gasket also needs to be replaced it has a couple of tears one on each end.

Ordered the Upper and Lower rack assemblies. Lower rack slid right in as the wheels came with it. Upper rack had to be removed from rails and old spray arm removed so it could be used with new rack (spray arm does not come with it). - Shut off breaker to dishwasher
- Shut off water to dishwasher
- Disconnect dishwasher drain hose at disposal
- Remove kick panel
- Remove junction box cover and disconnect wires
- Loose dishwasher mounting screws and slide dishwasher out
- Disconnect water inlet while sliding dishwasher out

- Disconnect wash pump
- Rotate and pull to remove pump
- Install new pump, use small amount of dish soap to lubricate the seals.
Reverse order to install. There is a video online by another vendor for this exact job, but they included a lot of unnecessary steps. I did follow that video at first, and then realized that I didn't have to do 60% of it.

The base of the spray arm literally just spins a little bit into place like a luer lock. Takes two seconds to replace.

Removed the old lower rack and slide the new one in.
