Need to know if cooktop is repairable. Wife turned on rear left burner on a gold series cooktop. She heard a pop and what appeared to be a spark that appeared to her like a flame. It blew the circuit breaker. Cooktop gets power but hesitant to try and turn the back burner on. Suggestions. Reset circuit breaker but the outlet on same wall that powers our Whirlpool refrigerator is not on.

Hello Donald, Thank you for the question. We suggest opening up the cooktop and checking the wiring and element for damage. You may also need to check the switch for the element to see if it was shorted out. You can use a Multimeter to check the components and wiring for continuity. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

Glass top stove element stopped working
really easy! Removed 2 screws under the glass top at the front, access from the open oven door, then removed the ground wire, removed the stove top, took the element holder off,( 2 screws)and replaced with new element, 30 minutes. I ordered the part and came within 18 hrs of ordering it, fantastic experience.
