First, remove the pump from the pressure washer assembly using a screwdriver or Allen key. Then, disconnect the detergent hose by cutting it with a utility knife. Gain access to the valve(s), which may require you to use a screwdriver and/or hammer to remove the covering plate. Use a set of pliers to rotate and loosen the drain plug and remove it. Apply silicone grease to the new drain plug before installing and securing it. Reinstall the metal plate covering, reconnect the detergent hose to the pump, and reinstall the pump. Monitor your pressure washer for any leaks or other issues with the new drain plug installed.
