FV19F5WSFD Gibson Freezer - Instructions

Followed the instructions provided in your video, took less than 15 minutes and works like new. Thank you for the parts and the advice.

My fridge side had warmed up to 70 degrees but the freezer side was still cold. The coils inside had iced up. After thawing with a hair dryer, it froze back after another week. I couldn't get a reading with my ohm meter on the defrost thermostat so I took a chance and bought the part. Installation was a breeze and it fixed the problem.

Removed the freezer door which had an electrical cord routed through the lower hinge with a disconnect under the freezer. Job works better with two people. Working the gasket into place was a little tricky at the corners. The putty knife was helpful. Make sure door is not warped when replaced on freezer. If warped slightly the door c ... Top freezer took off the panel in freezer and melted the ice around coils and found the defrost thermostat and replaced with the new one. Just followed the instructions from your video on line. Freezer works just fine now. Refrigerator is 38 years old.

Unplugged fridge, opened the door, used flat head screwdriver to pop off old switch, unplugged wires, plugged in new switch, popped it back in, and plugged the fridge back in. 2 minute fix.

It's easy to know how to use a key. I didn't have a difficult part, I didn't have the model # because I had lost my key and the model # is inside. I give him a A+ four taking that extra step, unlike the other places. Very satisfied!

Brought replacement key works just like original I thought it would be metal from reviews but it was plastic and still works perfectly

Used a thin screwdriver to lift out the burned out light assembly. Unplugged the old light unit and installed the new one. Plugged in the freezer and the light worked. Easy as pie.

I went online to a you-tube video to assess the problem and watch the repair. Ordered the part on sunday before christmas and had it christmas eve! Easy 10 minute repair. Four screws held the cover on. Two screws held the timer. Unplugged the old timer an replaced. Put all the screws back and . . . . Done! Easiest repair I've ever do ... Read more ne. We really didn t need to do a repair, we just ordered a freezer key that we didn t have. I must say the shipping was fast we received it the next day. It was worth the shipping charge. We will be ordering again. Great service.
