We programmed the self-clean feature for the 2nd time in 2 years; the first time worked fine. This time, 1 hour into the cycle we received an error message on the front control panel. F027. We stopped the cycle, let the oven cool and tried to open the oven door. The locking mechanism would not disengage. We then disconnected the power, waited 30 seconds and turned back on. We then received the error code F022. The door still would not open. We called Frigidaire, they sent a technician out who believed that the pc board and the other control board at the back of the range were defective. He ordered the boards, they came in, he installed them after disassembling the range to release the oven door. Additionally, he installed the thermo fuse (his description). Still, the boards are not communicating and Frigidaire believes the wiring harness may be bad. At this stage it seems all Frigidaire is doing is swapping out parts at our expense. Any ideas?

Hi Damon, thank you for the great question. The F22 error code means there was a communication failure between the oven user interface board and the oven relay board. But after replacing the control board, the oven is still not working, which means the wiring harness can be the issue. Test the wiring harness between the oven user interface board (connector MACS1 or MACS2) and the oven relay board (connector J3 or J4). If the wiring harness is not working, it needs to be replaced.
