FFU17F5HBA Frigidaire Freezer - Instructions

Took out three shelves. Removed 9 screws with a battery powered drill with a phillip screwdriver bit. Popped off the thermostat like I had seen on the video. Put the new thermostat on. Good Afternoon, My GE freezer was the victim of a brownout power surge here in Colorado last year (2012) during the summertime. My freezer was not on a surge protector and subsequently the Electrical Control Unit suffered the hit and the module was only showing gibberish. The part was easily removed with a flathead screwdriver-carefully prying up on the edge of the module on the door. The new module installed by simply pushing it into the same position as the old one. Plugged it in and watched my freezer light up with the proper numbers on the new Control. YES... I have my freezer back... Thank you PartSelect. P.S. By the way my freezer is now on surge protection.
