its best to use power screw driver lot of screws .took out all screws took off door took out side to remove ice from door. just used water to melt ice. took off old gasket and put on new gasket. put door in place and started screws in four coners do not tighten screws at this point.put in rest of screws. work arondclock wise making sure g ... Read more asket is seated while tighing screws. check gasket for flatness you may have to use hair dryer on gasket to make it flat.

Simply unscrew panel but do not remove it. Remove old gasket. Fit new gasket between panel and door. Fasten screws and no more leaks and better temperature contol. We ordered the part, which was a key, tied it on the freezer door handle, locked the door and voila, the problem was fixed. (We still have the children. :-)

It was very easy to remove the broken parts of the freezer door handle still secured by screws and then attach the new handle. However, I was shocked to find that the door handle screw cover plate was not included as part of the door handle replacement issued, which I felt was misleading. Fortunately that portion from my old broken handl ... Read more e was still intact, though is yellowed with age, so was able to snap that in place on the new partial-handle replacement which you sent. It seems to me that to omit this portion as part of the complete handle replacement didn't make much sense, as it rendered the new replacement handle incomplete.

Had to drag the full freezer out from the wall to expose the name plate, got the Model # and S/N and found the key on the partselect website in minutes. It was cheap so I got two. Other than FEDEX not knowing my address correctly, when I finally got the key it worked fine. Not a problem anymore.

My issue was water leaking from the door. I thought it was the gasket, so I removed the gasket and the entire panel off of the door. There was water behind it that had soaked the cardboard seal, so I left that front part off for over a week to let it dry. We determined between us and our two toddlers that perhaps the door hadn't been prop ... Read more erly closed enough on a number of occasions, so before I bought a $100 gasket, I'd try making sure the door was shut with tape, turning the freezer on and seeing what happened. There was no water after a few days, so on another user's suggestion I purchased the $15 key and twist tied it to the freezer door. Now I am locking the door after use so we won't have leaking water any longer.

The repair was really easy - I used a phillips head screw driver to remove the screws and broken pieces of the handle, screwed the new one on and snapped the handle insert into place. I was thrilled to be able to find the parts so easily (the information you have online is really helpful!), the parts arrived much faster than I anticipated ... Removed old gasket, then installed new gasket. Make sure to allow new gasket to set out for a few days prior to installing to get all wrinkles out, use a heat gun after installing to make gasket shape to freezer door.

removed door and took all the screws out of the inside door rack. removed old door seal . replaced door seal and made sure that the seal fit around and door rack fit into the groove then replaced all screws and tightened choosing random sections to tighten .replaced the door plugged back in wires that I removed and replaced door hinge scr ... Opened mailer and bag and place the drain plug into the drain. fit perfectly. In fact it is better than the one lost since the original needed a screwdriver or tool to remove the plug. This one has a flang or finger turner on it so that it can be removed. Also, does not interfere with items in bottom of freezer.

Needed a Phillips head screwdriver to remove bottom plate (kick panel). UNPLUGGED FREEZER. Removed plate pulled switch out through the mounting hole and unhooked the two electric wires. Plac ... Read more ed wires on new switch, pushed wires back through the hole and seated the switch. Plugged in the freezer and opened the door - magic, the light came on. Replaced the front kick panel (hardest part was to line up the plate holes with the holes in the mounting bracket).

After removing the key from its shipping package I pushed it into the freezer locking slot and turned it to lock and unlock the lid and then removed it. I had no problems with this fix.
