its best to use power screw driver lot of screws .took out all screws took off door took out side to remove ice from door. just used water to melt ice. took off old gasket and put on new gasket. put door in place and started screws in four coners do not tighten screws at this point.put in rest of screws. work arondclock wise making sure gasket is seated while tighing screws. check gasket for flatness you may have to use hair dryer on gasket to make it flat.

Simply unscrew panel but do not remove it. Remove old gasket. Fit new gasket between panel and door. Fasten screws and no more leaks and better temperature contol. This was so easy and rejuvenated my freezer. Thank you for quick shipment, great service, easy to navigate website, and fast phone help. I removed the back cover and removed the clip holding the compressor- run capacitor and start relay. I replaced these 2 components and clean the dust from the frig., and from the bottom of the floor. I replaced the back cover ; Loss about $300 worth of meat when when the frig. failed. Then I thought that, during these turbulent times, there are many which don't have a refrigerator or any meat to place in it, The refrigerator is "running" normal again.

Removed old gasket, then installed new gasket. Make sure to allow new gasket to set out for a few days prior to installing to get all wrinkles out, use a heat gun after installing to make gasket shape to freezer door.

removed door and took all the screws out of the inside door rack. removed old door seal . replaced door seal and made sure that the seal fit around and door rack fit into the groove then replaced all screws and tightened choosing random sections to tighten .replaced the door plugged back in wires that I removed and replaced door hinge screws . Shut door and checked sealing 2 hours later .Complete seal .

On 08/13 / 2025 starting in the AM --- My Wife Marie Defrosted -- Cleaned and dried the Kenmore up right freezer she has had for more than 33 years --- She noticed there was screws behind the inside door gasket and informed yours truly --- 1st Jacques loosened all the screws then removed the old gasket -- took it cleaned it and boxed it in the box the new gasket came in --- Took new freezer door gasket and installed it neatly around the door by tucking back part of door gasket between door panel and door --- once all was in place started tightening all screws starting at bottom holding bottom gasket material tight with other hand --- then working counter clock wise till done !!! there you go it was very easy and turned out great !!! The left swing hinge (297283901) that i needed is not available anywhere so I bought the right swing hinge (297283900), used a hydraulic press to pop out the pin and move it to the other hole. After that it was real quick to remove the screws and change out the hinge, changing the swing of the door. It is easiest to remove the top hinge and door first when doing this.

Loosen screws, removed old gasket seal, replace with new gasket (nice to use 2 sets of hands) and re screwed. Used hairdryer to heat up and fluff out a spot that wasnt seal all the way. Pretty simplementation to do.

Unscrew all the fasteners from the door inner cover from the bottom to top to hold it in position, got rid of the old gasket.

I Cleaned all and install the new gastket into the door inner cover. then reintalled cover to the starting from the top to bottom to hold it in place.

this is a one man job but with two will be easer

Used needle nosed pliers to twist and pull out remainder of broken parts (regular pliers would work, fingers might). Used fingers to insert replacements. So, simple, so glad I did it!

Needed to remove both left and right broken (plastic) supports and reinsert the new parts. Not hard at all...worked like a charm!

I stuck the new stop-basket in the hole where it belonged.

Pulled the freezer out and unscrewed the screws around door. Gasket slide right out. After placing the new gasket, I used a hair dryer and sealed the gasket tighter. Works like a charm!! Very pleased with this do-it-yourself fix.

Removed old gasket by backing out screws around inner door panel. I did not remove the screws just loosened in order to remove old gasket. Starting from the top of the inner door panel I set the old gasket and squared off. Tightened top screws and worked the gasket in on the sides and tightened several of the screws on the sides then set the bottom of gasket in the door. Inserting the gasket in the bottom was the hardest part of the job. The overall job took less time than expected.
