Inner lid collapsing

I popped out all the little plastic rivets for reuse with a needlenose pliers. There was a lot of ice built up in the insulation. I rested the inner lid on top of the freezer box to protect the stuff in the freezer and catch anything I might drop. I used a hair dryer to slowly melt the ice enough to extract it without losing too much insu lation (this is why the job took more than 20 minutes). Once this was done, I tucked the insulation into the lid. I fit the new gasket on the new inner lid and placed it into its opening. I then started placing the rivets. I did the corners first to hold it up. I was able to push most of them by hand. For a few I used the edge of my pliers. Good as new.
