FEP330VL0 Whirlpool Range - Instructions

Remove burners using my hands and replace new burners using my hands.

Removed all terminals and block mounting screws. Repaired one burnt terminal and reassembled. Replacement part was an exact fit and reassembly whnet very well.

Plugged in the new burner, which we received in one day.We were delighted with the quick service

I just had to pull out the old burner and straighten the prongs for the new burner and insert, The prongs of the new burner were slightly bent in shipment, but were easy to straighten with the pliers. Simple, just pull out old burners and slide new ones in place. Tried both, they work excellent!

Unplugged old burner elements. Popped in new burners. Turned on the burners to test.

Replaced with the new burner works like new. Thanks a bunch!

Problem I had was finding the right ones to fit the stove top. Burner pans that tell you will fit most stoves, do not. After I had paid over $20.00 for some that did not fit, I got on the internet, found you, ordered the replacement parts and had them within a few days. Put them in and there you go. pulled out the old burner, plugged in the new burner. Turned on the power and it heated up very quickly.

The removal of the old burner and installation of the new burners was easy. Just lift the opposite side that rests on the rim and pull burner out. New burner then gets inserted and the opposite side goes right into rim. It took all of 30 seconds to replace both burners. I wish I had replaced these when they first started to go!!

I found the received switch (PS12070192) a poor replacement for the original, or even the earlier replaced part (PS11744446, in 2016) I was going to replace since the press/return feature seemed slow to return.

The male spade lugs on the received switch are so positioned that engagement is only possible if the lug is bent out ... Read more at a large angle. The lug set-back from the body edge, and the raised ribs on the sides still prevent full engagement of the connections.

I did install the new switch but found that was the only switch that didn’t give a signal light when turned on.

I have reinstalled the earlier unit.

Lifted range top, disconnected and labled wires from old switch, removed old switch, replaced wires on new switch, installed new switch.
NOTE: Local appliance store informed me that the electric cooktop was too old and that a replacement switch was not available and wanted to sell me a new cooktop for $795!

Replaced drip pans and now everything is level.

Turned power completely off. Removed knob from front panel. Opened range top cover. Removed 3 screws from aluminum panel protector behind the element switch. Once panel is removed you can see the switch element. Remove 2 screws from the front panel that connects to the element switch. Remove the old element and replace with new element ma ... Turn on the power and walla you've have a new stove. You just save $600 plus.
