Shut off power to the stove.
I removed the screw that held the block in place. Then I lifted the top of the rage to get to the wires. I cut the wires from the old block and stripped back the insulation. Next I put the heat shrinking sleeve on. I attached the new block with the wire nuts, pulled the sleeve down and used a hair dryer t o shrink them. Then you just hook it back on screw it in and your done.

lifted up burner and pulled it free from its connection, then removed drip pan. used my cordless drill to drill out broken stabilizer clip. cleaned up chips from the drill process before installing new clip. installed clip with enclosed screw and nut. I then installed the new burner by lining it up with the connection under the cook top p ushed it place and lowered it into the stabilizer clip. Then I turned the burner on to try it out, but I waited for about one hour before turning on the burner because it was cold from being outside.

The baking element had burned out

  • Robert from Abingdon, MD

First, turn the breaker off to the oven, you don't want to electrocute yourself. There are two screws that hold the element to the back wall of the oven, undo those and pull the element towards you. There are two terminals at each end of the element, take these off, then reattach to the new element and screw back in to the back wall of th e oven. This process takes maybe all of five minutes

Turned off circuit breaker for oven. Unscrewed the 2 screws that held the element in place on the back wall of the oven. Save those screws! Pulled the element out from the wall. Disconnected the 2 wires. Attached the wires for the new element and then screwed the new element into the back wall. Flipped the circuit back on and the oven was fixed.

bottom burner in oven not working
1 of 2 people found this instruction helpful.
  • Erica from Merced, CA
  • Really Easy
  • Less than 15 mins

Super simple, and the part arrived less than 48 hours after buying it online. I turned off the breaker to the oven and unscrewed the burner at the bracket holding it to the back wall of the oven. After pulling out the wires, all you do is tug at the two connectors and they detach. Just slide the new burner's connectors in, then screw it b ack into place. My arms aren't quiet long enough to reach all the way back there, so I got my son to help and I held the flashlight for him. Had it done before my husband got home from work!

Element went bad

  • Philip from Coral Springs, FL
  • Really Easy
  • Less than 15 mins
  • Nutdriver, Screw drivers
I read other repair stories before I completed the instillation and let me tell you that in it's self was a great help.

Very easy to install two screws in the front but you must first remove the wires behind the oven otherwise you may damage the wires by pulling them through.

Part was on order and I still received it within three days.

You guys are the best, I recommend the site to all of my friends and family.
