layed fridge face first on a chair removed cover with flat head screwdriver unplugged part replaced with new part replaced cover returned to upright and plugged in

Watched a youtube on capacitors- though on a motor with a pulley, the symptoms were the same, motor running and pulley not turning-bad capacitor. Took a chance for a 17+ dollar part vs a new compressor. It worked.

Cut 1'x10'x10" select pine board into 4 pieces. Attached the four pieces using the Kreg Jig Jr to each other. Stained and polyurethane for appearance. Added EDM weather strip to bottom edge of collar. Disconnected hinges and removed lid from freezer chest. Placed collar on top of chest freezer then placed lid on top of collar. Carefully a ... Read more ligned collar to freezer and lid to collar. Attached existing hinge of lid to collar, then mounted new hinges to existing freezer mount location then attached new hinges to collar. Double hinged collar. Nice!!!! Not a repair but an improvement.

Easy. Followed the video instrucations. the part was right there next to the compressor.
