EW26SS65GS0 Electrolux Refrigerator - Instructions

Old valve comes out with 2 screws, water lines removed and reinstalled on new valve just as they came off the old valve. Entire job took less than 10 minutes. Very easy replacement.

Removed old water valve w/ screwdriver, cut threads off old hose (as they just plug straight into new valve) & pushed hoses into new water valve. Solved both problems!!!!

Repair was easy. Unplug refrigerator, turn off water to ice maker, remove back panel, disconnect water inlet valve, disconnect water supplies and electrical connections. We made sure that there was no ice build up in the supply tube into the ice maker and made sure that everything worked correctly before putting it all back together. It was an easy repair.

The repair went easily after watching the video, took me less than an hour to complete the repair.

Removed and replace solenoid manifold valve in rear of appliance using inadequate You Tube video. Removed and replaced augur motor after dismantling various housings using a seriously mistaken You Tube video. The people that make these videos leave out steps that they thunk are obvious, but aren't at all.

Consulted You Tube. Took off old gasket. Easy. Put on new one after getting it warm. The track on the new gasket did not sit properly. Took multiple attempts but finally worked. Size was perfect but the gasket color was different than original and therefore, different from the refrigerator door. No tools required.

Took out old replaced with new. Now it makes ice

Removed ice bucket from freezer. Remove ice. Remove 2 phillips head screws from the inside front of ice bucket, and 2 fromt the bottom front to remove the front cover. Remove the E clip and washer from ice crusher shaft. Remove 4, 1/4” head screws from ice crusher housing. Unclip the selector shaft from crusher door paying attention to p ... Read more osition.Slide housing off of shaft and discard. Install new housing over shaft and install the 4 screws. Install selector shaft into door. Install the E clip and washer onto shaft. Install front housing with the 4 screws previously removed. Refill bucket with ice and install bucket back into freezing taking care to orient the ice screw shaft into the cog in the back of the freezer as well as the door selection shaft. Test operation.

Ordered the Capacitor and the Thermostat Control. Parts were received in a matter of a few days, easy to install, but did not fix the problem. Had to call a repairman to fix the problem (compressor relay - this part not available to order for this model number with Parts Select). I followed the instructions, my ONLY issue was about the Part 46 the Ice Dispenser Actuator Rod. The front of the arm has flared out grooves and it didn't warn me about making sure the rod is properly aligned thru part 23 Front Plate or else when the ice maker actuates the rod it will not move properly if the grooves are not aligned on e ... Remove the food items from the shelves on the door, Phillips screwdriver to take the top cap off. Adjustable wrench to take the two screws off the top hinge. Lift out the door and set aside. DID IT JUST LIKE THE VIDEO SHOWED. UNHOOKED ELECTRICS, CUT TUBING, HOOKED UP ELECTRICS THEN TUBES TO NEW PART. PIECE OF CAKE.

I was able to replace the housing by only removing the front cover, the e-ring and washer and the 3 hex-head screws. I was able to work the old housing around to get the actuator arm off and then get it properly inserted into the new housing. Attach the new housing, IMPORTANT: make sure you get the fixed-blades and spacer assembly in the ... Read more slot of the housing that holds them in place, replace the e-ring and washer, check that the actuator arm operates the door properly and replace the front cover. The videos can be helpful but these shortcuts will save some time.

I watched the video and followed every step as outlined. It worked perfect, until I reconnected the supply line to my triple water valve. I used the old compression fitting and the compression nut. I should have cut the line and installed a new fitting and nut. The water on the floor the next morning reminded me of that. So back out I wen ... Read more t and replaced the compression fitting and it has been as good as new. The ice maker took a few cycles to work again, I think it needed to fill the line with water first. But I have a huge sense of pride every time I hear water dispenced or ice dump in the freezer. Thanks for the help and encouragement!
