ICE WOULDN'T DISPENSE FROM ICE BOX

  • A Bit Difficult
  • 30 - 60 mins
I read other suggestions trying isolate auger motor shaft with pliers while turning bar drive. needle nose pliers could hold the shaft. bar drive just would spin. so took the whole ice box assembly out
(only 2 screws) and with a metal cutting blade used the sawzall to cut along the shaft. freed it up enough to then unscrew it from t hat point. Left handed threads by the way.

i only ordered 1, so i replaced each 1 then moved to the next. still no light, so it must be someting else. will try to check the wires with a volt meter to see if i have power next. something wierd happen, when i accidently touch the back of the led board, it lit up, small but still light up. hoping that means the led board is goo, must be in the wiring. i saw it had a main led board so will check the power to that.

From day one the installer did not tighten the screw in the freezer handle. It finally came apart. They didn't leave me the Allen wrench for my fridge.

I followed the instructions from your website that I found when ordering the part. It could not have been any easier if I had set in a class room environment. Thanks for all the help and saving me the cost of having someone do a 15 minute repair for 1 hour of labor cost. I would definitely use your site again in the future and I have alre ady put a bug in a couple of my friends ears for if they have issues in the future!! Thanks again!
