EW23BC71ISA Electrolux Refrigerator - Instructions

i put casket on i notice when i received casket in shipping box was bent on the end of the casket 's did not solve problem casket not flush air is due to damage from shipping in the box not happy with the product.

Located problem part of ice maker on web site. Picked the part that had the highest percentage of being the the part that was broken (58% I think). Removed the part, waited for the new part, then put it all back together. Simple. It works great. Thanks for having such an easy web site to diagnose the problem.

It was real easy took the lines off one by one put them on the new unit one by one same with the three plugs than tighten new unit back on fridge.

Unscrew a few screws and remove some plastic covers to access the ice cube tray. Undue two wire connections and remove the tray. Put in the new unit in reverse order. I heard it may take awhile for the new ice maker to start doing anything. Mine didn't do anything for 6 hours, then made it's first batch. Making ice fine now ever since.

Remove the freezer drawer by unscrewing the two 12mm screws on both sides of the drawer.
Lift the drawer up out of the slots the frame and away.
Lay the drawer on a padded surface to protect the drawer cover finish.
Pull the old gasket out of the drawer and discard.
Position the new gasket around the edge of the drawe ... Read more r. Starting at one corner press the gasket into the slot in the drawer edge. Continue working the gasket until you return to the starting point.
Inspect the gasket to ensure it is seated in the slot completely.
Return the drawer to the refrigerator, placing the lugs on the drawer into the slots of the frame and insert the screws to their original position and tighten securely.
Inspect the drawer for proper level/sealing in the freezer drawer position. Adjust as necessary.

Removed the trough that catches the ice.. two philips screws to take the front cover off. Side and bottom. Than quarter inch to remove cover over wires. Unplug ones to ice maker. Slide out a little and down. May be a zip tie in the back cut with sheet rock knife. Reverse to install.

I pulled the old one out and pushed the new one in place.

Old valve comes out with 2 screws, water lines removed and reinstalled on new valve just as they came off the old valve. Entire job took less than 10 minutes. Very easy replacement.

VERY EASY SLIDE OLD ONE OUT AND PUT NEW ONE IT

Removed old water valve w/ screwdriver, cut threads off old hose (as they just plug straight into new valve) & pushed hoses into new water valve. Solved both problems!!!!

The repair itself total time was quick and easy. Since the original fan blade blew apart, it was only a matter of putting the new one on in it's place. This can be done by feeding the blade between the cowling and Condenser coil and applying pressure to get it on the shaft.

In my case, since the part would take a couple days to get, and I had food both in the fridge and the freezer, I removed and unplugged the Condenser Fan Motor and the cowling frame and temporarily spliced a small fan I had into the line for the condenser motor. This kept the fridge working long enough to get the replacement part.

Side note. Direction of airflow is towards the Compressor, and draws air across the Condenser coils.

Repair was easy. Unplug refrigerator, turn off water to ice maker, remove back panel, disconnect water inlet valve, disconnect water supplies and electrical connections. We made sure that there was no ice build up in the supply tube into the ice maker and made sure that everything worked correctly before putting it all back together. It was an easy repair.

My repair plan is to continue buying parts for it until is starts working. I notices a large rusty stain on the back of the refrigerator, so I replaced the Ice Maker. Then, I replaced the Evaporator Motor. Yet nothing will come on.

So I it ordered from PartSelect. It is due here by July 20, 2020. The Parts and Tech cost is now over Five Hundred ($500) dollars.

Pulled the old seal out of the groove. Placed new seal in the groove. New seal has to be heated and massaged to get it into proper form so it does not leak. I have been continuously heating and massaging to get the seal to get it in the proper form. Been working on it for a week. Almost there.

I watched the video and followed every step as outlined. It worked perfect, until I reconnected the supply line to my triple water valve. I used the old compression fitting and the compression nut. I should have cut the line and installed a new fitting and nut. The water on the floor the next morning reminded me of that. So back out I wen ... Read more t and replaced the compression fitting and it has been as good as new. The ice maker took a few cycles to work again, I think it needed to fill the line with water first. But I have a huge sense of pride every time I hear water dispenced or ice dump in the freezer. Thanks for the help and encouragement!
