EST308 Caloric Range - Instructions

Removed burner and tray. Removed burner connector from stove top using screw driver.
Removed existing heat shrink and wirenuts.
Installed new connector - wire nuts and heat shrink. Used lighter to shrink.
Took 20 minutes.

Turned off the power to the stove. Removed the 'burners' and 'burner' trays. Removed the screw that secured the bad block. Lifted the top of the stove. Cut the two wires to the bad block., stripped the wires about 1/2", slipped the shrink tube over the wires. Connected the new block with two porcelan wire nuts. slipped the shrink tube ove ... All the necessary parts came in the repair kit, delivery was timely. Very easy project.

Installed shrink sleve and applied wire nuts to electrical connection to 2 wires then shrunk the sleve.
Did the above procedure for 2 heating elements.

Removed the original burner element sockets and replaced with parts provided in kit. Instructions were simple and easy to follow, problem completely solved in 20 mins!

Cut power. Removed four attaching screws and raised stove top. Cut two wires of existing burner plug. Used existing plug to select correct plug configuration from parts in kit. Attached new plug and wires to wiring harness using connectors and heat-shrink tubing supplied with kit. Used hair dryer to shrink tubing on connectors. Closed up ... Read more stove. Restored power. First, I turned off the power to the house at the breaker box. Then I removed the broken heating element through the front oven door. I hoped this would work as it seemed from other reviews that some people pulled the oven out removed the back panel in order to access the element. I unscrewed the plate and then gently pulled the element o ... Read more ut. I had a little trouble "unplugging" the element. When I tried pulling, it seemed they were stuck tight. Turns out you have to sort of jiggle the connectors and then they easily pull apart. Had I figured this out initially, the repair would have been under 15 minutes. Attaching the new element to the connectors, rethreading the wiring back into the holes, and then rescrewing on the back plate too the oven wall took just minutes. Easy peasy. So glad I spent $40 to fix rather then $500+ for a new oven!

We unscrewed the old element by removing 2 screws and put the new element in place and put the 2 screws back in and it was done. Piece of cake!

It was real easy. Removed two screws, pulled the element forward, removed to clip on wires, removed element and put the new element in place, replaced wires and screws, turned it on and up to temp. in no time. great service and quick delivery on getting the part.

I ordered the new part, which arrived in just 2 days. I did not pull the oven away from the wall, I merely turned off the electric, unscrewed the bad element, pulled it out enough to see the ends, and then I removed the existing wires using needle nose pliers. I put the wires on the new element, inserted it back into the oven wall, and sc ... Read more rewed it tight. I turned the electric back on, and checked it out. Worked like a charm! Only 40 bucks (including shipping), five minutes of my time, and I avoided an expensive service call. :-)

Replace the connector and bracket, spliced the wires, put heat to the schrink wrap and I was done.

I raised the stove top, read the instructions to my son while he did the work, then I lowered the stove top, installed the burner, and it worked like magic.
