DBB3300EA1AA General Electric Dryer - Instructions

Open the door and removed the part. Installed the new part and started the dryer.

Unscrewed the old, screwed in the new making sure wires matched up same as before. Reset my breaker and works like new again.

When the dryer was installed last year by the dealer, one of the hot leads was not screwed down tightly. Over time the screw loosened and began to arc causing the plastic holding the screw to melt. When I moved the dryer the hot lead fell off and hit the terminal block cover shorting out the dryer. I was able to locate the exact terminal ... Read more block I needed with their helpful dryer section diagrams. The part came in the time they said. I took off the old terminal block with just 2 attached screws. i kept track of which screws held the hot and neutral conductors and the ground before I removed them. I was then able to slide on the dryer wires and attached the home conductors. I put on the cover plate, turned on the circuit breaker and it worked.

I bought the Heating Element and Housing together so that I would not have to stretch and run the coils and to save time!
1. I removed the two screws that hold the top down by opening the dryer door and removing the two screws at the top of the door opening. Then I pulled the top off.
2. Then I removed the two screws on the top ... Read more inside of the dryer on the left right and took the front off.
3. Next I spread the dryer open a little and pulled the drum out while pushing the belt off the back of the drum.
4. Then I removed the screws to the sensors and removed them from the housing.
5. Then I removed the four screws holding the heating element housing to the back of the dryer and took it out and put in the new peace.
6. Do everything in reverse when putting the dryer back together.

Removed 2 screws to remove top. Removed 2 other screws to remove front. Removed old parts. Installed new parts. Reassemble all afetr cleaning duct work out.

Took the top of the dryer off by removing two philips screws in front. Removed two screws holding the front of the dryer on. Pulled the front out enough to reveal the worn drum slides. Replaced them. Reassembled.

Repair was VERY easy - 4 screws total! Used google to find a video online that showed the steps.

pulled off the top, pulled off the front then replaced the plastic that was supporting the front side of the drum. fairly easy to replace although the little plastic 'slides' (you need 4 of them)

took off top of dryer, took out 2 screws so front of dryer could be removed, replaced bearing,slides and felt seal

Initially purchased just the plastic slides, but when I opened the dryer I found the top drum bearing was smashed and the plastic was basically gone in a whole section, so I then ended up ordering the bearing as well. If you hear the loud squeaking, just buy the top drum bearing and the 4 slides (two white and two dark green). It is an ... Read more easy repair and the squeaking sound is gone.

We removed the top of the the dryer and then removed the front part. Then put the traps in place, put the other parts of the dryer back on, and turned the dryer back on. Just as simple as that. No extra fees.

First I removed the 2 screws that hold the lid down. Then I pulled the lid off. Then I removed the 2 screws that hold the front of the dryer in place. Then I lifted the drum a little and pulled the front cabinet out a little so I could see the drum slides. I removed the bad drum slides and installed the new ones. I then put eve ... Read more rything back together and turned on the dryer. The squeeky noise was gone.

I followed the directions from the previous post. It was much easier than described. I got the part, removed 4 screws, removed the top, pulled the front and replaced the part. It was all together again in 15 minutes. Dryer sounds great again! I'm so glad I didn't call a repair man!
