CWE6200ACE Maytag Wall Oven - Instructions

After searching on the internet for a very long time, we were almost ready to order the screws "blind" (no picture) from Sears for almost $10.oo per screw. Then I stumbled onto this website and found exactly what I was looking for, with a detailed description AND a picture!! Not to mention a price that was two thirds less than Sears..fo ... Read more r TWO screws. Now the oven door is secure and we are no longer on our search for the right screws.

I removed three screws, pulled the element out from the rear wall, unplugged the electrical connections, reversed these steps in installing the new element. "A Piece Of Cake!"

Read more to all the wires. The clock is a self contained unit and all I had to do was to remove 4 screws holding a face plate, replace the unit and reverse the procedure. Only problem I had was getting the screws back into the face plate (I was only able to get 2 threaded-but that will hold for the life of the stove) and put it alll back together. It works wonderfully.

I had a repair company on the phone who said that the service call would be $185 and if I was right about the clock being the problem, that would cost another $345 for the clock and $85 for the return service call to install. I ordered the part from PartSelect .com on Sunday, had it by Thursday and installed that night. My cost was $195 vs approx $600. Why would you do anything else?

removed 4 screws holding entire face plate. Rolled face plate up on top of stove and left all wires attached (many). removed 4 screws adjacent to clock assy. Removed 4 screws under the top unit that holds the stove control knobs. Open oven door for better view. Tilt whole unit (width of stove) up and out of top flange. Remove knobs for timer and the two control knobs (that operate the range burners) nearest the clock. Take out the screws by these knobs, 2 per knob and then you can get the ... Make sure you have turned off range at your fuse box before working on stove. Works good as new now, I assume it was hit by lighting that also made me replace our garage door opener.

I didn't. Don't know how to get to light bulb to change it for this specific model

Removed the 4 screws on the bottom of the panel, lifted the panel out and up to clear the uper part of the panel. Removed the screws from the left and right switches, which hold the bracket of the clock, marked the wires of the clock and removed the wires. Installed the new clock in reverse. The power to the range was off.

First I removed the four torx screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires.
Then I installed the new element in reverse order. Recycled the cardboard box and the old element.

Move stove out from wall. Unplug from power. Removed four screws from the left side of the back (the side the light socket is on. On the back of the stove, replug the two wires and replace the screws on the stove's back cover. Replug the unit to power and move back into position.
Sounds harder than it is. The worst part is reaching inside the oven to get at those bits.

First thing
disconnect from electricity
Remove the back cover by unscrewing its fixing screws
Using philips screw driver, To remove the scocket assembly, pull the tow electric wires from the socket, using a fine plier.
Open the oven door and unlock the glass cover and remove it.

Now the socket is ready to be disassembled by just pushing the clips with tow fingers.
Replace the socket and do same steps in reverse way.
insert the lamp, and the glass cover, connect the electricity and you are done.

Removed the ice brucket,
Removed the light shield by releasing one screw using a nutdriver.
Replacing the bulb and reinstalled the light shield.

I pulled off the facia from the microwave/oven. Unscrewed the plate holding the microwave and slid out the microwave. The microwave and oven are a unit. I unscrewed the oven from the hole it sits in and slid out the oven and set it on a sturdy chair. Then I unscrewed (6 screws) the bracket that holds the microwave to the oven. After that ... Read more I unscrewed (14 screws) the top sheetmetal plate on the oven and slid that around behind the oven. Then I unscrewed the grounding strap inside. Did the 2 screws on each side of the oven holding the fan unit and slid that out. Undid the 2 wires plugged into the motor and the 2 screws holding the fan motor. Then I slid off the fan from the old motor and slid it onto the new motor and reversed the whole process.
