CTX14AATALWH Hotpoint Refrigerator - Instructions

When the cover came to my apartment, I crossed my fingers that the piece would fit . Well, within 5 minutes the old cover was out and the new cover in. And it looks better than new! Finally, I don't have to hold my vegetable drawers up with a D battery!

No tools required! The replacement pan cover was shipped and arrived within 3 days. I pulled out the drawers, then the cover. Slipped the new one in, slipped in the drawers and it was finished.

Removed 2 vegetable drawers and phone book and cd case supporting the vegetable drawers. Removed food items sitting on top. Lifted out cracked pan cover and put in place the new one. Reinserted all items originally removed except for phone book and cd case. It was a perfect fit and probably the easiest repair job I have ever done. ... Unplugged the appliance for safety. Removed two 1/4" screws that held the assembly in place. Carefully removed the wire guard that retains the glass shield. Unscrewed old light bulb and replaced with new part. Reversed the steps after cleaning glass cover.

I pull the old one out, and put the new one in.

After looking at our broken bottom shelf in the fridge many times a day for over a year, I finally got around to doing something about it. So glad that I did! The only ... Read more caveat is that the new shelf fits quite snugly. If you don't give the refrigerator door an extra push to close it, the door does not seal. Just a new habit we have to get into.

Shelf cracked when less than year old. and has gotten progressively worse thru the years.
Replaced in seconds , no tools required .

This was so easy. Got the model number off the refrigerator door. Internet searched and found this website. Ordered the part. Waited maybe 3-4 days for it to arrive. The repair only required removing nthe old cover and installing the new one. What I was really surprised about is the time for delevery. I ordered the part on Friday morning around 11 AM and it was delevered by Fed Ex at 8:30 AM on Saturday morning. After removing all items from the broken top, I removed both drawers and crisper top. I then slid the new top in place and replaced the drawers which easily slid into the grooves in the underside of the top.

new cover slipped right in place, however, the way the new one is designed, the hump in the front rubs the bottom of the door. you have to make sure you push the door shut or it will remain open .

I took out the old shelf and popped in the new one. Took 1 minute or less. The delivery was in 2 days! Amazing experience! My refrigerator feels brand new.
