I followed the video instructions. They were clear and consise. I removed the trim ring and controls. Them removed the housing and flapper. I did notice a small burr in the plastic chute and foam insulation. I trimmed this off with a utility in hopes this burr caused the flapper to warp. For the latter I used a small allen wrench to carefully wedge the bottom two indents (look from below panel edge) slightly up and forward to release the panel. The rubber outer flange on the otherwise plastic flapper was very irregular for approx. 1/4 of the circumference and thus did not seal. I followed a video supplied with the e-mail notification of the shipment of the part. This was one of the best experiences I have had with locating, purchasing and installing a replacement part for an appliance.

Snapped off the plastic plate covering the dispenser. Removed the four screws holding the mechanism in place. Remove the electrical connections. Pull the mechanism out and up carefully pulling the dispenser pad out with all the mechanism in place. Look at the mechanism before removing any parts to get a mental image so that reassembly ... Read more will be easy. Remove any electrical switch or circuit boards and remove old parts before submerging the mechanism in hot soapy water for clean-up. The Clean-up will take longer than the disassemble and reassembling. After completion the dispenser works as it should.

Watched à video provided at your website. Removed te cover then removed 4 screws holding the control panel' snapped out the old flap and inserted the new one.

Solenoid pushing the crushed ice flapper was burned out. Solenoid was easy to find unplug and replace. I used the old piston which simplified things. Now works great

Your Video really made it easy, showing the actual replacment of the part. However I did have one problem, which was I could not unplug the panel just by pulling on the plugs. A locking catch is on each plug so I just moved the panel out of the way.

Read more ior cone of the solenoid with alcohol. This removed quite a bit of rust and some mold. Reinstalled solenoid, replaced flapper and it works just fine. May need to replace solenoid if problem recurs. Certainly worth $37.00!

Since my refrig is 18 yrs. old and I never had to replace it, took a little long to remove trim piece on the outside. After that repair went smoothly. I still have problem with water collecting inside on the bottom of the freezer, might have a leak somewhere. Ice maker is functioning correctly.
