CSX22GABCAA Hotpoint Refrigerator - Instructions

It was really easy for me....my son told me what part I needed. I ordered it, and he installed it!

Removed top hinge assembly to pull door away from bottom hinge (2x hex bolts) Discovered that the pin on the bottom assembly had broken off. Removed and replaced bottom hinge assembly (2x hex bolts). Aligned door with top and bottom hinge pins. Tightened all hex bolts. Done

I followed the many post on replacing this part and everything went well. I had a little trouble getting the hinge post into the new hinge assembly, but with a slight adjustment it fell into place. I checked to see what tools I would need to do the job and had them ready before I even started. I removed the door and had it back on in mayb ... Read more e 10 minutes and I am not exactly Mr. Fix It. The only advice I can add to what everyone else has said is you should look the job over a little before you take the door off and have your tools ready. Then you won't have the door off for too long. I'd like to thank this site and everyone who gave advice on how to fix this problem. It made the whole job very easy.

I can not find the bill therefore I do not know what part I installed, as I keep installing parts in my home. I believe you are referring to a Vegetable Bin of my GE Refrigerator and you do not have to be a rocket scientist to install a new one.

Turned the wire protector to the side. Turned out the old bulb and replaced it with the new. Turned the wire protector back in place and I'm like new.

blocked up refrigerator door.removed old hinge, and put new one on,with socket set.

This is a side-by-side unit. After blocking up the closed refrigerator door to the correct height to match the freezer door, I removed the lower hinge pin assembly by taking out two bolts. Save the shims (my had two) for the new hinge pin. Then remove the cam riser from the bottom of the door by taking out two bolts. Install the new cam ... Read more riser on the bottom on the door. Then install the new hinge pin assembly. Total time 15 minutes.

Repair was exactly as described on U-Tube video. The whole process, including removing items stored on the refrig door, took around 20 minutes and involved only a screwdriver and one socket. Could not have been much easier. Dont know why I delayed fixing what had been a long term annoyance.

Watching the video confirmed my own assessment of the (very simple) repair procedure, and eliminated my wife's fear that I would remove the 19 yr old refrigerator door and then not be able to put the door back in place! I ordered two WR02X10140 hinge cam parts so I would have a spare. I know we need a new more energy efficient refrigerator, but our GE Profile is still fine for our family. Removed the top hinge of the right-hand door, removed the door, replaced the cam riser on the bottom of the door, then replaced the door and top hinge. Simple and easy.

I watched the video and did the job as instructed. It was very easy and worked as expected. The video was the key.

shimed the door up to its proper level. removed plastic cam from bottom of door with a socket disconnected the water line fitting and clamp. with a nut driver removed the hinge assy from cabinet being careful i sled the hinge assy off the plastic water line being sure not to kink the line, sled the new hinge assy back on the water line an ... Read more d mounted the new hinge assy to the cabinet and connected the water line back up and turned on the water and checked for leaks, all went well. place the bottom grill cover back on.

Followed directions in your video. Very helpful. Be certain to pay strict attention to how old part is removed. Had a little trouble replacing door on lower pin/hinge. Helps to have a little assistance. Good suggestion from another customer: get the kit.

I found you web sight. Determined I needed the hinge assembly. Followed the instructions in the video on your web sight, and it was all better.
