CSK28DHZCAA Hotpoint Refrigerator - Instructions

Pulled the outter cover off, removed the electronic board, replaced the flapper and put it back together again.

Removed ice dispenser trim from bottom-up and then removed control panel by gently pulling up from the bottom. Removed four screws holding dispenser chute and then two screws holing flapper assembly. Replaced gnarly old flapper with a new one and put all removed pieces back together.

remove the 'pop-out " frame around the door recess, you pry the flexable seal from around the ice despenser, have someone hold the unit with the wiring, remove the one screw that holds the door recess, and replace the new one. reverse the procedure. remember to unplug thr frig. first

really simple,take 2 nuts loose pull the hose out and then replace.took less than 30 minutes

Snapped off the plastic plate covering the dispenser. Removed the four screws holding the mechanism in place. Remove the electrical connections. Pull the mechanism out and up carefully pulling the dispenser pad out with all the mechanism in place. Look at the mechanism before removing any parts to get a mental image so that reassembly ... Read more will be easy. Remove any electrical switch or circuit boards and remove old parts before submerging the mechanism in hot soapy water for clean-up. The Clean-up will take longer than the disassemble and reassembling. After completion the dispenser works as it should.

I followed the video instructions to the letter and it was very easy and a total success. I believe I would have had problems but for thr video demonstration which was very clear and straight forward in a simple manner. Thanks for the prompt delivery of the part and the help installing it.

I followed the video instructions. They were clear and consise. I removed the trim ring and controls. Them removed the housing and flapper. I did notice a small burr in the plastic chute and foam insulation. I trimmed this off with a utility in hopes this burr caused the flapper to warp. Removed frame, unscrewed the electrical panel, and popped the flapper off. Installed new flapper. Replaced the electrical panel and re-installed the frame.

Removed control panel by inserting small screwdriver in the 3 holes underneath to loosen. Remove 4 screws holding circuit board . Unplugged 3 connectors. Removing circuit board gave access to flapper. Removed flapper by unclipping. Installed new flapper and reversed disassembly procedure. This was 2nd time in 2 years I had to replac ...
