Remove ice maker bucket. Unscrew single screw in center of shield, take out shield. Insert new shield, making sure the 2 tabs on the shield are slid into mount from the left, center the shield so center tab is aligned with screw hole, Tighten screw, replace ice bucket. SUGGESTION: This would be a good time to replace light bulb!

The Ice flapper was warped therefore, it was not closing well. Because of this, the ice dispenser got air in it and the ice cubes would deice causing to make a chunk of ice inside.I went on line, order the part ($5.75 + tax= $12.00) checked Part Select video and did it myself. It really is as seen on the video. It took me less than 10 min

I am clueless around the house. But this was easy: Removed ice maker bin, fiddled with freezer shield to line up with the single screw hole that holds it in place. Use screwdriver to install shield with original screw that stayed in place after the original freezer mount cracked and broke. Put ice maker bin back. Done!

I watched the video on the PartSelect.com website and decided to give it a try. The replacement of the flapper was even easier than I anticipated! The old flapper was extremely warped and was allowing air into the freezer. I'm not sure how/why it was in that condition but I am happy to report that I have no more ice buildup. Thank you

Since my refrig is 18 yrs. old and I never had to replace it, took a little long to remove trim piece on the outside. After that repair went smoothly. I still have problem with water collecting inside on the bottom of the freezer, might have a leak somewhere. Ice maker is functioning correctly.

I watched the Utube video, repeated the process at home while awaiting the part, and installed the flapper door in about 15 minutes after it arrived--piece of cake. The hardest part was removing the escutcheon plate on the front of the freezer door. I figured out I could slide a putty knife under it and the rest of the project was compl

Your Video really made it easy, showing the actual replacment of the part. However I did have one problem, which was I could not unplug the panel just by pulling on the plugs. A locking catch is on each plug so I just moved the panel out of the way.
