the ice bin was a cinch with the complete part ordered from Partselect.com. Just had to replace the old faceplate onto the new part put the ice bin back in the freezer and voila. Didn't really need to replace the thermostat but did anyway with the defrost timer and then the thing started keeping temperature again. Thanks a bunch! I ju st hope the refrig will hold up a few years longer!

I neeeded an ice bucket for a refrigerator that was given to me. I wish if I could have oder the whole part as a whole. So, this is what I did. I order the Auger and Ice Bucket Assembly.Later, I realize when I received the part that I also needed the Cover bucket assembly and the Ice storage door. Now I do not know if when I get the rest o f the parts if it also comes with the screws that hold the cover bucket on or if I have to order the screws separate.

My wife and I gave an old, but really good refergerator to our son (a Major in the Army). Upon taking it into his house he had to remove the doors of the refergerator. While he put the doors he lost the "cam" for the door, making if difficult to close (actually had to lift the door up and then close it). I ordered the replacement part , and unless I am mistaken, it arrived the same day. I still cannot figure out how this happened, but it was great!!

Door closing cam worn out

Removed refrigerator door and replaced bottom door pivot with the included mating cam and the door closing cam on the bottom of the door.

I didn't know that there were two mating cams and only ordered the door closing cam which I read online was the problem. It was the number one part on the part select list. The number two part was a kit including the door closing cam and the pivot with mating cam attached. It would have been helpful if there had been some notes that said check condition of both cams before ordering the part. So I have a spare door closing cam and paid an extra $19 including $8 shipping which negated a return.

The repair is easy - getting the right parts the first time is the trick.

Very simple replacement of complete assembly. I debated replacing individual parts that would have taken considerable effort. Ordered the complete assembly and it was simple to replace.Removal of face plate by removing two Philips screws and reusing them to hold face plate on. Jim

Pay close attention to how you disassemble everything. You might even want to take a picture. I taped all the screws right where I unscrewed them, to make sure they were replaced in the right section. Also use the picture diagram that on the computer.
