CGS995SEL1SS General Electric Range - Instructions

ordered over the phone a new temp sensor. Un plug the oven, take off the back, open oven and unscrew the temp sensor, pull the sensor until the elec connector clip comes through so you can unclip the old sensor, clip on the new then pull the line back and re attach the sensor to the ovn. Plug in the oven.
Pretty simple, just hard t ... Read more o work inside the oven. I unclipped the sensor line outside the oven to make sure it would come apart first before I was working inside the oven.

Threw the old one out - plugged the new one in. Steak came out just as ordered - medium rare.

It only required placing the new burner in the proper location.

Replaced new light housing.

So for years have been struggling with this burner. Technicians could not figure out the problem. Then one day, I noticed that the top cover did not sit properly on the burner. Lifted up the burner with the cover on it and noticed that the burner itself was warped and deformed. The top cover never sat evenly on the burner. Ordered a ... Read more new burner and put it in and presto. The burner work properly for the first time since we bought the stove. So, check the burners and see if the top cover sits evenly on the burner.

Took back panel off unplugged sensor and replugged in and worked like a charm!Sears wanted $400 and was going to 'overrepair"Got the 60 dollar part on here. UPS shipped to wrong address and customer service refunded my shipping and was excellent! would definetly use again!thanks

I got really great customer service on finally getting the right part. It came really fast it fit perfect but the cap is a high gloss black instead of a flat black. I will need to call customer service again to see if they can the correct color this time.
Otherwise everything was great!

I have no clue what wire goes where because there is no thing to refer to or instructions of any kind . I have not been able to install the part.

Ordered new probe

Turned off circuit breaker, Then pulled out range, straight out and away from wall and cabinets. Layed braket on flooring and moved stove back in to make certain it aligned with range rear stands. Moved range back out, marked holes in braket, screwed in screws to anchor bracket. Pushed range back into placed against wall. Tried to |"til ... The part was just like the old one and would have been an easy fix except our range suffered from a lighting hit. The clips had melted together. Called a dealer and asked about a new wiring harness.
