After finding your page and using your trouble shooting guide, it was easy getting the right part and the video helped a lot. Removed the over rack- removed two screws to remove the bottom- two screws to remove the burner. Read more ter and installed new one. clipped the wires to length and renistalled the burner. Using the two wire nuts supplied put the wires togather and reinstalled the bottom. Everything went well lite first try with no poof sound. Just in time for Thanksgiving cooking. Got fast delivery of parts. Will uas again. Thanks Partselect.

could not determine what part failed.Found Part Select on line useing Bing search.Using virtual repairman and typing in the problem it told me what I needed.Orderd that part on line and reieved it in TWO DAYS,can you believe that! Inatalled that igniter in 15 mins. and now it works like new. Thank You Part Select!!!!!!

First, I read all the instrutions that came with my replacement part from Parts Select thoroughly (twice) then follewed them like an experienced surgeon. I removed the lower drawr after turning off the gas and unplugging the stove and then took out the bottom panels inside the oven to expose the screws holding the ignitor coil. Removed it ... Read more , then cnnected the new one to the existing wires as they were in the stove and the drawing in the instructions, then replaced everything in the reverse of them coming apart. Plugged it back in, turned the gas back on and now it,ll bake things again. YEAH!! Parts Select!!!

First I'll say the instructions and comments from this site were right on, making it easy. I slid the oven out and unplugged the electric. Opened the door, took out the racks, took out the two thumbscrews at the back bottom and lifted the bottom plate up and out, and lifted off the heat guard plate. I could then see and reach the ignite ... Read more r pretty easily (the flashlight helped). The igniter may have been replaced before because there were already wire nuts on the wires. I unscrewed the two screws using the nutdriver and noted which wire (top or bottom) went to which wire inside. Unscrewed the wire nuts and removed the old igniter. Used the old igniter to determine where to cut and strip the new igniter's wires. Connected the wires of the new igniter using the wire nuts and put the two mounting screws in. Then just put all the other stuff back in (heat guard, bottom plate/two thumbscrews, racks). Plugged it in and started the oven. Got a small amount of "crackly" noise initially (maybe because the igniter was new) but that went away and it's been working fine and quiet since. Very easy (well, perhaps other than being on your knees, leaned into the back of an oven for a couple minutes). Well worth the effort.

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. The oven igniter was working, the Sears repairman said by the phone the igniter was probley weak and not geting hot enough. Remove door ( 4 screws) Remove oven pan (4 Screws) remove burner sheld. remove lighter and cut wires. Install new. Remove storage drawer and splice new wires to the old at the back.

A friend replaced the new ignitor with the old one...very simple job.

I would like to comment on how fast the service was from when I ordered the part online to 3 business days later when the part arrived....very happy about how easy it was to order part and that the part was in stock and delivered so quickly. Followed service sheet. Measured 2.6 amps draw at igniter wire which should have been 3.2 amps. Replaced igniter and problem resolved.

Remove the oven drip pan & burner baffle. unscrew & cut leads to remove old igniter. Splice old leads to new using furnished wire nuts and remount. Job would have been easier with oven door removed, but didnt want to create a new project.

pulled stove out to unplug the electric cord. Took oven door off and removed the bottom panel (2 screws) and then removed the burner (2 screws). took off old igniter ( 2 nut screws). cut wires and stripped the coating to wire to new unit.
Attached new igniter to the burner, and put the burner back in place and replaced the screws ... Read more so unit was stable.
Turned oven on to make sure ingiter was going to light oven, when oven came on, turned oven off and replaced the cover to the burner and the bottom panel in the oven,. Put the oven door back on........
Probably took 45 minutes.
I ordered the part late Friday afternoon, around 3, and the part was here Saturday Afternoon. I was impressed.

The whole job took me an hour. I would have done it sooner but I didnt a square head driver bit to remove the igniter from the burner assembly. I removed the whole assembly and with a pliers slowly unscrewed the mounting screws. Af ... Read more ter that I disconnected the igniter per your instructions,spliced the remaining wires reconnected the gas and electric and I was good to go.

Replaced the flat style oven igniter. Turn off gas and unplug oven. Removed the broiler drawer, cut wires, unscrewed oven igniter (using a small/medium adjustable wrench), connected wires, fastened new igniter to bracket, spliced wire, twisted together, plugged oven back in, turned gas on, turned on oven after a few minutes...worked gre ... Checked voltage supply to oven igniter, had 120 v
to oven igniter, but igniter was not glowing.
