After watching a utube video on how to disassemble a microwave door by using a putty knife, I was able to get to the window glass and clean off the black smoke mark left by a seriously burned plastic seal. MIcrowave did not have the appropriate mounting plate for above the range installation.

I purchased the necessary mounting bracket and installed it but then found out that the microwave was defective. I was able to return the merchandise to PartSelect without a problem. Will definitey go to Part Select the next time I need replacement parts.
