CFCP1RKBESS General Electric Refrigerator - Instructions

Remove control panel.
Remove four screw in control panel bracket.
Remove to bottom screws at bottom of solinid loose top screw.
Replace all screws.

Replaced rusted solenoid.

Popped front button panel off from the bottom using flat head screwdriver; Removed 4 screws holding electronics board and disconnected wires. Unscrewed 3 phillips head screws on old solenoid and replaced with new part. Reconnected wires to board, screwed back in, and pushed panel back into to place.

REPAIR MAN TRIED TO SAY IT NEEDED A COMPRESSOR, THAT DID NOT MAKE SENCE WITH NO POWER. HE WANTED $2000 TO REPLACE IT. i CHAINGED THE POWER INVERTER AND MAIN BOARD FOR UNDER $600 AND FIXED IT..

First time the water hose in the door was frozen. Thawed hose and started water flow. About 2 week later water stopped once again. Did a little trouble shooting and determined the valve stopped working. Ordered a unit, installed in a very shor time and all is good so far.

Took the old filter out and put the new one in.

reconnect the water tube with the union connector.take out the old water filter and put the new one in.it is very easy.

Unscrewed old cartridge, ordered new cartridge, installed new cartridge by following very simple instructions. Took only one day for part to arrive from PartSelect although I paid for cheapest shipping, which was "ground." I was amazed!

Removed face plate, which holds the circuit board. Removed the next section be removing the 4 screws that hold it in place. Then removed the old solenoid, and replaced it with the new one.

with a philips screw driver and that's all it was that easy

I watched a you tube video for 2 minutes & did the replacement in1 minute.

I followed they instructions from the other "do it your selfers" but only replaced the solenoid. This was the cause. Rust was keeping solenoid plunger from moving and this held the flapper door open. Very easy to repair!

replaced the water valve,valve does work but still no water to dispenser problem inside door

Turned the old filter loose, removed the adapter from it, put the adapter on the new filter and turned the new filter back into place.
