Dry is warm but not hot. Take 3-4 hours to dry a medium load of laundry. Does this mean my heating elements going out or what?

Hi Heather, thank you for reaching out. Before replacing the heating element, we would suggest checking the dryer cycling thermostat, part number PS11741405. It is used to maintain the temperature in the dryer drum. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!

Thank you for your question. If the dryer does not shut off, you will need to check the door switch and the timer for continuity with a multimeter on the Rx1 setting to see if these parts are operating normally. Before removing and checking these parts, unplug the washer from the electrical outlet. When testing the door switch, place the probes on the terminals. You should receive a reading of infinity. With the probes still touching the terminals, press in on and hold the switch. The reading should change to zero. If you receive any other readings, you will need to replace the door switch. When testing the timer, you should receive a reading between 2000 and 3000 ohms. If you receive any other reading, you will need to replace the timer. We hope this helps!
I was drying jeans and heard a pop. Kinda like a 22 shot. Dryer stopped turning but was still hot. Turned it to off but was still hot. I had to unplug. What needs replaced?

Hi Denise, thank you for your question! Based on the description, you may have a broken drive belt, part number PS11770211. We would suggest replacing the belt to fix the issue. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
To reach the heating element you only need to open the back cover of the dryer (about 8 nut-head screws). Remember to disconnect the power.

Don't hurry to dispose the old element. My model includes a small electric safety part. You'll need to transfer it to the new heating element (that comes without it)..
The repair was easy. the most time consuming part was vacuuming the dust from the back of the Dryer, The repair required removing screw from the back panel of the dryer. Then removing screws from the heating element and unplugging the wires. The only moderately diffculy part was swapping the sensor form the old element.
