CE35111AAQ Crosley Range - Instructions

Turned off the power at the breaker box, cut the wires approximately 5 inches from the bad receptacle and removed it after removing one screw. Stripped back the wires about 1/2 inch and attached the new wires with the ceramic wire nuts provided and secured the receptacle back in place with the new screw provided in the kit.

The element is working great now.
Whenever I need appliance parts again I'll use partselect.com.

First, I unplugged the oven. Then, I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. After that, I gently pulled the element toward the front of the oven until the wires were exposed. Read more new element back into the screw holes and screwed the new element in place. When I plugged the oven back into the wall I heard a pop and thought I'd blown up the oven! Turns out the breaker popped...after fixing the breaker, I turned the oven on and the element worked just fine. I highly recommend PartSelect.com for their fast shipping and great products. Moved the Appliance out unplugged it and removed the backing plate then Remove the Knob and unscrew the infinite switch then marking the 5 wires to know where the go on the new switch, removing and replaced it with the new one

First, I shut off power to stove(a must).
Removed two screws that hold element in place.
Gentley pulled element toward door opening.
Once wire is expose, hold back of element and pull gentley to seperate element from wire slot.
Connect new element to wire and replace screws.

Removed and replaced above named parts, rewired.Be sure to tighten all nuts that secure wires. I believe this is what caused the problem.

removed old clips and remaining parts of old seal...new part already had clips attached, so just snapped them into holes in oven door.

This was easier than putting in a new light switch. The old receptacle would not make the necessary adjustments to the heat element to maintain the desired temperature. Read more e top to expose the receptacle and wiring. My stove was too heavy to pull from the wall, so I had to go to the breaker box to flip off the breaker. I returned to the stove and snipped the non working receptacle (with a wire cutter) and attached the new receptacle with the ceramic wire nuts, that came with the assembly. I turned the electric-breaker back on, and tested the heat element. The element will now make the on/off adjustments on each temperature setting, to maintain the correct heat.
I ordered two receptacles because I wanted a spare. I do a lot of baking during special-day dinners, for my family members... and due to the age of my stove, I bought the bake element as a "back up" if the present Bake-element burns out.

I looked at the other repair stories on this site & realized it should be simple to do. I first switched off the power at the circuit breaker (range has its own switch). Read more nect the wire on the right side. But the other one would not budge. Thought I would have to get a repair guy out after all. Decided to try again again next day. Put on a pair of leather gloves to get a better grip on the wire (thought pliers might bend the connectors). Was able to wiggle it back & forth & it came loose. Then it was easy to hook up the new one, gently pushing the element connectors into the oven wires & put it back into the oven & replaced the 2 screws holding the element in place. Switched the circuit breaker back on. Turned on the oven and it works like new and no repair person visit!! Thanks for the info at this site.

Real easy to do. I just unscrewed from back pulled out until wire can out of back then seperated from wire. Took out element put new one in. Real easy didn't even need my husband

FIgured it was either a bad heating element or a realy expensive repair so I purchased a replacement element to rule out the simple and inexpensive possibility. Pulled oven out from wall and disconnected power supply. Removed retaining bracket from top of oven, two screws that held in heating element, disconnected from fittings, replace ... Read more d with new element, and reattached screws and retaining bracket. Plugged in power supply, tested lower oven (it worked just fine) pushed oven back against the wall. Threw away the old element and packaging. Job done.

very very easy. but keep in mind that step one, killing the power at the power box. I jumped that one to a near disastours outcome, thankully all turned out well byt there was a hell of bang and VERY bright flash. Still was worth "doing it yourself" just keep in mine the cut power side...Safety first!!!

I raised the stove top to verify with a volt meter that electricity was truely going to the elements and which ones were receiving current. I removed the back panels to gain access to the controls and wiring. After checking the circuitry with the volt meter I determined that one of the thermostatic controls was defective. I ordered a new ... Read more control and 8" burner (which showed signs of deterioration) from PartSelect and received them the next afternoon. It took less than an hour to reassemble.

Replaced receptacle but it was not the problem. After further inspection I believe that the problem is the switch. The switch is on order now from Part Select.
