Ordered new auger and ice bucket assembly. Removed old door and with four screws I attached it to the new unit. Works very well!

My husband just pulled out the defective ice bucket and replaced the new one.

Disassembled front door/cover (3 screws), then removed deflection door assy, (4 1/4" nuts), CArefully and methodically removed C Clip and grinder teeth...Be careful with this step to document/remeber how to re-assemble! Auger repleced then reverse steps...
All in all, not too bad, but you can easily screw up the teeth re-assembly.

I used pliers to pull lightly on the head of the switch, while I inserted a small flat head screw driver into the base of switch and gently worked around the edges to free it from the panel.

We have an older model refrigerator and thought it would be impossible to find a replacement ice bucket for the freezer. Not only did you have the exact part but it came unbelieveably fast. I would use your website again!

Found broken pieces of deflector in delivered ice. Removed dispenser, carefully disassembled it, marking fasteners, sprimgs, and levers. Local repaimen say no replacement part available, must replace entire ice maker @ $350. Removed the face plate (4 screws) on the ice bucket/auger and put it on the new unit.

I removed the 4 screws from the cover and replaced the auger and ice bucket assembly. Extremely simple and I was amazed how easy it was.

After replacing the light bulb and still no light I manually pushed the light switch button. Intermittently the light would come on then go out. I removed the power plug from the power source then replaced the light switch. I plugged the refrigerator back in and now I open the door the light comes on and stays on until the door is closed.

Took unit apart but did not take photos of how to put unit back together, so needless to say it took longer then it should have. My error. Ordering the part was very easy and within days the part arrived at my door. Should the need arise, I would order again from Part Select.com.

The old switch was hard to remove. Thinking that I may have to loosen the wires I used a socket wrench to remove a clamp. This was unnecessary. In the end the switch did come out using a large size screwdriver. The problem was that the expanding plastic tongue is not visible from the ouside so you have to try to feel your way around. ... you must pay careful attention when taking the dispenser apart,especially the long rod that controls the deflector,but if close attention is payed to disassembly you should have no problem.

I ordered two switches, replaced both with a knife in 10 minutes. Interior light works, thanks.
