AW100KW2 Kelvinator Washer - Instructions

This repair couldn't have been easier. I went to the website, looked up my part and ordered it - this all took longer than the repair! I followed the super easy video on the site walking me through the replacement step by step. I probably would have taken less time, but I made the mistake of propping the top of the washing machine up too ... Read more high, which popped a suction hose that prevents the tub from overfilling, which unfortunately, I didn't realize. 10 minutes, I started to do a small test load. Luckily, our laundry is right off of the kitchen, so after 5 minutes of filling, I stopped eating dinner to ask my wife how long it took to fill. At that, we could hear the water running on to the laundry room floor. Another trip to the internet and sure enough, attaching that hose fixed her right up. Thanks Partselect! Couldn't have made my life easier - much to the chagrin of my wife who was searching feverishly through the paper for a replacement!

Took front off and put the new belt on. Then put the front back on. At my Age 70 yrs did good and saved $124.00 Which I paid that 9 months ago.

Took off the front panel and changed the belt. Putting on the front panel took longer then changing the belt.

I removed the back cover after disconnecting the electric and shutting off the water. I then proceeded to disconnect the water lines and then removed the water inlet valve by removing the two screws holding it in place. Then I used pliers to remove the hose leading to the washer. Quick google search brought me to this site, part was very easy to locate and purchase. The part was delivered within 5 days and 2 screws, 2 wires, 2 hoses, and 15 minutes later it was a done deal.

I used this website to look at the parts breakdown the only way water can get into the machine is thru the solenoid valve. Ordered valve.Followed the video on how to replace valve.I pulled apart the old valve. The plastic seat was cracked,letting water seep into the machine.

released hold down clips on top and removed two screws at the bottom of the front panel and firmly pushed down on the panel to release it exposing the motor drive assembly and idler tension pulley i released tension on the drive belt removed the pulley from the assembly replaced it with the new pulley including the pressure washer which k ... Changed the belt started working like new.

UNPLUG APPLIANCE....very simple installation. Raise THE top and the switch is in the corner. Unplug the wiring harness and remove the 2 screws that hold the lid lock on. Reverse the procedure and replace the lid lock.

I turned off water valves. I then unplugged the AC. I took the 4 screws out on the back end of the top cover of the washer. I removed the two water lines from the water inlet vales and the two electrical connectors. I then removed the two screws holding the water valve assembly and it came out easy. I turned the incoming water vales on and installed the top cover with the four back screws and was done.

Following the easy instructions on PartSelect's website, I first removed the screws from the bottom, front of the washer. Then, using the putty knife, I unhooked the clips holding the washer top to the front and pulled off the front. I pushed in the belt wheel and removed the old belt, which was being held on by one strand. Then, I put on ... watched the video, all instructions were perfect!

Used a metal cooking spoon to pry open the lid, held it in place with a chain (mentioned in the tools required) and used needlenose pliers to remove the clamp on the old hose assmbly. Transferd that clamp to the new hose assembly and replace the (1) screw holding it in place. Closed the lid of the washer, and now it is like the problm had ... Read more never existed.
