Open the door. Removed two screws holding the cover of the thermostat. There is a clip which holds the thermostat in place. Remove the clip. Take out the thermostat. I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.

No need for tools.

I was clening my uprght freezer and noticed that it was preped for an icemaker. I first went to the Whilpool website and could not find my part as my freezer was a 2008 model.

I put in my modle number of the Whilpool Ice maker kit that was on the back of my freeze ... Read more r. PartSelect had the part in stock and approx $18.00 less than the other kits listed on the Whilpool site (that did not match my kit number). I orderd the kit on Sunday and it arrived on Wednesday. It took less than and hour to install. Every part I needed was included. The following day I installed the water line and now I have an extra icemaker.

First I removed the old lightbulb from the socket and replaced it with a new one to confirm that the bulb was not the problem. I then pryed the socket out with a flat-head screwdriver. When the new one arrived, I reconnected the lead wires to it, snapped it back into its hole, screwed in a new lightbulb, and presto!! The light was back on with no further problem. Thank you, Partselect!! A $15.00 part saved me what probably would have been at least a $100. service call and heaven knows what the technician would have told me I needed!!!

An easy job for smaller hands. Removed the two bolts holding the light cover. Removed two electrical connections from the old switch by pinching the retaining clip,removed the switch, snapped in the new one and re-attached the connectors. Very pleased with the delivery time. Was able to repair the refrigerator before the beer got hot. Replacement was easy.
Removed blower housing. Replaced motor. Put blower housing back in place.

I unplugged the power cord. Then, I removed the housing at the inside-top of the refrigerator by removing the two screws that hold it in place. This exposed the defrost timer. Just be careful, I partially broke the tops off the two pins that slide through the timer's body (when attempting to removed the clips that sit on the pins). Not a big deal, as the timer will remain in place without the top of the pins. Next time, I would cut the clips using diagonal cutters.

Just pull out the pin, replace the wheel (make sure you have it facing the correct way) and tilt back and pull the blocks. Move the frig back in place and replace the bolts. Took me and a buddy less than 30 minutes.

First I cut the gasket-fip with the wire cutters. Then I removed the gasket by pulling it away from the center if the door (not perpendicular to the door). I placed the new gasket over the door, secured the corners first, then pressed the rest of the gasket into place.

However, I have the freezer turned to the lowest possible setting, and it still seems to be quite cold. There may be another issue w/ the unit such as the thermostat.

Once I saw the replacement part I understood how to pry out the switch with a small screwdriver. Then just unplug the old one, plug in the new one and pop it into place.

Replacement was very easy as new ice maker was identical to the old one. Took about 10 minutes.

Took out glass shelf to clean. Shelf exploded into a billion little pieces for no apparent reason. Received replacement shelf the next day (with the 3 - 5 day shipping). Cleaned glass, placed in ice box. Viola!

Unplugged the machine removed the bottom plate and back plate and ice maker.Removed 2 wires to motor and ground wire.Removed 2 mounting nuts for motor,installed new motor and used old fan blade for new motor .Reinstalled in reverse order plugged in and tested fine.
