Remove 4 self tap screws holding on front cover/bin handle. Remove 2 self tap screws holding drum cover. Remove 1 self tap screw at back of bin holding door actuating rod and spring, slide forward to disengage. Remove "E" clip and flat washer. Remove plastic nut {clockwise/left hand threads]and remove crusher parts [keep in order removed] ... Read more . Slide new drum on shaft and reassemble crusher in reverse order. Install drum cover w/2 self tap screws. Install flat washer and "E" clip. Re install actuator rod and spring assy. Install front cover and test in refrigerator. The 2 self tap screws that hold drum cover are easier to remove with a 1/4' drive ratchet and 1/4" socket because of limited space behind actuator rod. This job is a snap to do. I'm sure it's at least $50.00 cheaper than a service call.

Repair was tremendously easy. All I did was remove old light switch by prying out with screw driver and plugging in the new light switch and pushing it into the hole. Simple! The instructions weren't needed, but they were very thorough.

Had to push the light switch to get lamp to light up.
Removed power from refrig. and removed old light switch
and replaced with the one I got from Partselect. Turned power back on and was done.

Eased the putty knife under the edge of the switch housing and pried it off. Pulled two wires off the old terminals and hooked them onto the new one and reinstalled into the refrigerator body.

We looked up the problem online with the model number of the refrigerator. We ordered the part and followed the video installation that was sent with the order and was found online prior to purchasing

Pried out the old switch and installed the new switch.

The best part of the repair was how easy it was to find and order the part. Instead of searching the parts houses around town I just went to the PartSelect web site, quickly found and ordered the part in about five minutes, received the part the next day at my home and was ready to make the repair. Don't worry about breaking it or cracking plastic. Disconnect(unplug) wires from back of switch. Replace (plug-in) wires on back of new switch. Insert in location of old switch. Finisheed.

I removed the ice bucket and dumped the ice (saving part of it to put back into the bucket after repair).Using the nut driver,removed all screws,rmoved the auger that the broken drum is mounted on.I reoved the nut on the end of the auger(with my pliers).Slid out auger removed broken drum,replaced new drum and re assembled using your easy ... installed new parts

removed 9 screws, removed all parts, laying them in order, so they would be easy to replace.
reassembled in order I had removed them placing the new auger drum in place of broken one.
replaced ice container in freezer, poured in a few ice cubes them crushed them.

Pulled out the ice tray, took whatever screws held the front on. The rest was pretty easy. The only thing I would say was a problem was taking off the cutters. Ordered part, watched video. Had a problem with reassembly of ice crushing assembly, did a re-do as one of the blades had dislodged from the drive shaft!
