Checked the water line from the wall to the supply port of the inlet valve and it was suppling water but no water beyond the water inlet valve, So I ordered a new inlet valve and installed, and it fixed the problem. The plastic covering over the buttons for water and ice on our refrigerator door ice maker wore out after 4 years and looked bad. So instead of buying a whole new fridge we looked at replacing the panel. I found it here and ordered it. All it took to replace was a small flathead screwdriver to pop the old one out on the tab by the light. ... Thank god because I thought my wife would never stop complaining about the refrigerator door buttons. ;)

Lift up on the water filter door to open. Pull out the old filter while noticing the arrow pointing up on the filter. Pull off the green caps on the new filter and pop the new filter in with the arrow pointing up as on the old filter. Push in until the filter snaps into place. Close the filter door. I just unscrewed the plate that locks in the light switch (screwdriver) and unplugged the old faulty part and plugged in the new switch, screwed the cover back on and I was done!

Easy!

And I am not Mr. Fix-it!

It is as easy as is shown in the self-help video. (1) Disconnect the power, (2) Roll the appliance out so you can get to the back, (3) Using a nut driver remove all the screws from the lower back panel then remove the panel, (4) Remove the tensioner wire, (5) unplug the electrical connection to the capacitor, (6) gently but firmly remove ... These two parts saved me the cost of a new refrigerator. Almost as easy as changing a light bulb. PS: while you have the panel removed you can do a thorough cleaning with a soft brush and vacuum.

I removed the screws that attached the drum housing to the bin. I detached the auger & removed the broken drum assembly, turning the auger to the right, opposite what I thought it should be. We removed the old switch, unplugged it, plugged the new one in and it was easy to do. But when we tried to put the switch back in we had a very hard time doing it. Eventually got it in, but if it had not been for the difficulty we had getting the new switch to snap in to place, it would have taken under 5 minutes.

Removed old starter and capacitor as per your website instruction.
Plugged in new parts.
Compresser turned on

Hold both water filter reset touch sensors down together. This will reset the water sensor indicator.

Used a screw driver to pull old switch. Pulled one wire at a time, only two wires. After wires instlled to new switch push new one back in place where the old one was.

I measured the part then looked for a similar switch that might work. I was so happy to find the exact part we needed for our 24 year old refridgerator!! I simply removed the old switch using 2 small screwdrivers and the old switch case popped out. I then upluged the wires from the old switch and reversed the process. Didn't take longer than 5 minutes begining to end! Thank you for the great service! Duncan quaid
