First I compared the old parts and new parts to see if I had ordered the right thing then I inserted the new stop into the door. Since the stop has a lip that needs to fit into the slot I the door, I used a hammer to push the part up so it would lock into the hole. Very Simple

The Ice maker unit had to be removed and the shaft had to also be removed, which required dis-assembling the motor drive. The thickness of the shaft and the bearing fill cup prevents it from simply pushing it in place. Other than that I have Ice.

Removed the door assembly with 4 Torx screws, replaced the broken door with the new one. The assembly is spring closed, so had to be pivoted into place. Then the door didn't open when the ice button was pushed, but made a loud snapping noise. After removal again, it was determined that the solenoid was not attached properly to the arm. Af

ter this was done and the whole assembly was put back on the door, everything worked fine.
Watch out for the circuit board at the front of the assembly, it carries a pretty good bite!

Seal wouldn't seal on the freezer's right bottom. When you shut the refrigerator door with any force the freezer door would come open a tad.

Replaced filter with by-pass plug. For some reason though, ice maker does no longer functions, although there is flow out of the cold water tap. Is the design of the bypass plug such that, when installed, it impedes flow to the ice-maker?

Sung-Su from BISMARCK, ND

Popped out with butter knife and unplugged 3 prong connector and reversed with anew switch.
But, unfortunately it got broken again exactly same way as before.
So, I ordered same switch again for 2nd time.
Maytag should recall that Rocker Switch and build with better materials.

First off, We have an extended warranty however, they said it was not coverered since it did not affect the function of the refrigerator (except that we lost refrigerator space and could no longer use that section of the fridge!!!) They said it was cosmetic!! After having a repair person come out and tell for the part and repair it would

I then got on line and looked up the part which with shipping cost us 37.00. My husband installed the part in no time.
Word of advice: make sure when you purchase warranties that you check the fine print ,because there are all different levels of warranty.

Removed the inner door panel held on by 30 small nuts crews. Removed the old seal. Stretched new door seal onto inner door panel. Attached inner door panel and seal to inside of refrigerator door. Using a magnetic nut driver was the answer in the tight spots and the small nut screws. Everything works fine and the beer is cold again!
