Remove 3 screws, took top hinge out, fz door and inserted shim...done.

just cleaned it and put in place. I was really impressed as to how fast it was sent to me. I broke it on Nov. 1 and placed the order that afternoon and received the new glass on Saturday Nov. 3. As per instructions. Removed parts from old ice maker, and installed them on new one, Then installed it in the freezer. Works good.

This was a very easy repair. Of course start by unplugging the power cord. Take out the lower freezer drawer. Unplug the wiring harness from the ice maker at the rear of the freezer. Undo 3 screws with a 1/4" nut driver. The ice maker will come right out. You don't have to undo any water connections, the feed tube just slides into a g ... Read more uide in the ice maker. Once the ice maker is out, unplug the harness from the old one and snap it into the new one. Same with the cover. Reassemble in reserse order. Plug the power cord back in and wait a couple of hours for the familiar sounds of ice cubes falling into the tray.

Very simple and only took about 15 minutes.

I removed the switch housing (4 screws), replacing the switch in the housing was a snap. It took 5 minutes, cost $8 and light works like new!

Why didn't I order this part and do the repair earlier? Very simple.

Removed the ice brucket,
Removed the light shield by releasing one screw using a nutdriver.
Replacing the bulb and reinstalled the light shield.

I recently bought an old Amana refrigerator for my garage on CraigsList for 75 bucks. It was in great condition for its age, but was missing the post that supports the fruit and veggie crisper drawers. I did a Google search, quickly found PartSelect, and just as quickly located and ordered the missing part, which was reasonably priced. ... I took it out of the box, removed the crisper backets - and glass cover for them - installed the post and WHA-LA, the crisper backets work just as good as when the fridge was new! Couldn't have had an on-line mal-order operation go any slicker!

Took under 5 minutes. Removed two screws and unplugged the wire bundle from refrigerator. Removed old unit. Put old wire bundle on new unit. Plugged wire bundle back into refrigerator and remounted the new ice maker. Could not have been easier. Watched the video first, it was very helpful.

The light rocker switch wasnt working. I found the part on the web site. It was so easy. I used a screw driver to pop out the old one and pop the new one in. It took 5 min. Thanks!!!

Unplugged the power, removed old icemaker by removing 3 screws and unplugging a small wire harness

Then i moved the wire harness off the old one to the new one, moved the end cover over to new one and plugged the harness back in and screwed it back in and turned it on

Replaced ice maker but now water valve wont work

When I finally got the right part I us ... Read more ed the power cable and level lever off the old maker and reinstalled the ice maker in just a few minutes with a nut driver and screwdriver. Thurning on the water in about and hour it started making ice. When ordering online make sure you can get a large enough diagram to see what you are getting. If you can't ,call their phone number ant talk to a live person.
