This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.

Light switch broken; door bin broken
10 of 10 people found this instruction helpful.
  • Stanley from Santa Cruz, CA
  • Easy
  • Less than 15 mins
I removed the broken door light switch by inserting the flat end of a butter knife along the right side of the old switch. This depressed the tab that holds the switch in place, and the switch popped out. I tranferred the two slip-in wire connectors from the old switch to the new one and pushed the new switch into place. It was quick and easy. If you examine the new switch, you will see how the squeeze-tab works and how you need to release its tension to remove it.

The door bin just slipped into the holders from above.

Most important, remove bracket attached to freezer rear wall and put entire fan motor assembly together, including attaching power supply, ground wire, front bracket and fan blade (be sure rubber vibration dampeners are in place on both brackets) THEN attach the whole assembly to the rear freezer wall! Doing it this way is so much easie r, and you won't run the risk of losing a screw behind the condenser, as I did!

  • Miriam from Canyon Country, CA
  • Really Easy

Plied off the relay switch with a screw driver. I could not pull it off by hand. Disconnected the wires to it and replaced with new part. Had problem getting the part back on and lining up the pins with the connector. I had to line up one pin and start at an angle and roll the part onto the contact pins.
I was impressed with the one day delivery without paying because it was shipped from a warehouse in California where the repair was made.

Followed the YouTube video linked to the Compressor Start Device and Capacitor I purchased. The repair was just as easy as the technician in the video said it would be. Removed the back panel, remove the clamp, worked the Compressor Start Device and Capacitor off the electrical prongs and replace it with the new one. After I reassemble the refrigerator, it was fully operational. Very easy to do and only required a few tools.
