I replaced the broken grommets with the new ones. I purchased 8 so I would have back ups because I did not feel the new one would last either. I think they cost TOO MUCH but I could not haggle for price.

burner would not light; ignitor did not produce spark

  • Candace L. from Woodinville, WA
  • Really Easy
  • 15 - 30 mins
  • Screw drivers
Take a few screws off the back of the slide in burner module. Take off the back. Unscrew the ignitor screw, remove ignitor carefully, replace with the new ignitor, put the screw back in, put the back back on, try it out! Ours worked after a couple of tries - don't know if the ignitor had to "rev up" by several sparks or we just didn't have it properly installed at first. Anyway, very easy. Did it in my pajamas on a Saturday morning.

Instruction can be found on Maytag gas installation manual. The burners are working well and just like a new range.

With a family of five a needed an extra oven rack as my RV oven is very small. After much aggravation between calling and going online to the manufacturer I still could not get any help. Even with locating the all important parts number. I was just about to give up when I was surfing around and found this website. Wow! What a relief! Not only did you show my where to find the part number, but I ordered it and got it within days. I spent more time on hold and online with the manufacturers customer service than anything else. From now on, no matter what I need, whether RV or home, I'm going staright to PartSelect. Thank You and my family thanks you too, as we wil be camping on Turkey Day and now I'll be able to get all the meal done at once! Happy Thanksgiving! God Bless

Factory installed hinges were bent, preventing the oven door to close tightly
10 of 15 people found this instruction helpful.
  • Tom from Issaquah, WA
  • A Bit Difficult
  • 1- 2 hours
  • Screw drivers, Wrench (Adjustable)
Had to turn off the propane, disconnect the propane line and then remove several screws holding the stove in the cabinet. Once I was able to pull the unit out of the cabinet, I had to remove several other screws for the sides in order to gain access to the hinge arm and spring. The front of the oven door had to be removed in order to ge t to the hinges. Replaced both left and right hinges, hinge arms and springs. After replacing all of the screws, I reinstalled the stove into the cabinet and reinstalled the screws securing it to the cabintet. Reconnected the gas line and checked for leaks. None found. Oven door operates properly now.

burners corroed by sulphate in the gas
5 of 5 people found this instruction helpful.
  • Juan Jose from Miami, FL
  • Really Easy
  • Less than 15 mins
just turn the burners counter clock wise with the help of a jar opener pad. unplug the wire connectors and replace the burners no hassle, no problem. Everything went fine… one thing though, it is not the same color as it was before. I didn’t realize it until opening the box. Previous color was grey. My wife is Ok with it, so I won’t complain, but maybe you should add the color option if there is more than one choice.

Best regards.
