AJHS General Electric Air Conditioner - Instructions

I replaced it with a new one.

Removed A/C unit from wall, removed 8 screws that held fan motor in place, removed 8 screws that held fan shroud in place, removed fan blade nut and pulled fan blade unit from motor shaft. Reversed steps to install.

The Power Cord has a breaker on the plug. The breaker did not 'trip' during a power surge and fried the board in the plug. it melted. I ordered the replacement plug. Took apart the unit. Unplugged the power cord ends from the main unit. The ground wire (green) is screwed in. The other wires (white and black) are attached via push-on termi ... Read more nals. These are harder to get off and on since there are many and are in a tight space. May want to use some long needle nose pliers to assist. The new cable was attaced. There are two plastic clamps that help screw the cord to the unit. Only porblem was the new cord plugs in upside down so you will need to turn the outlet plug around. Turn off power, unscrew outlet and turn upside down. return power to outlet and plug in to complete.

a simple, careful installation

took the old air filter out of the air conditioner and slid the new air filter into the top slot of the air conditioner. I didn't need to use any tools.

Called numerous appliance stores and GE but filter was not in stock and would take several weeks to fulfill. Thankfully I found this site and placed the order. Customer service was great and I received the filters in a few days. Will be ONLY TOO HAPPY to refer them. Thank you Maggie

Removed the two screws that held the control board in place. Carfully pulled wires off plugs and pluged them on the new board in the same location. Put the two screws back in to secure the control board. Reassembled plastic cover and pluged in unit.

remove platsic cover from unit after taking the unit out of the wall and replaced the blade, re-install the covers and done!!!

Ordered and replaced the blower wheel (fan) in our cordless ryobi blower. Was very easy and works great again.

I removed the front cover then 2 screws out of the cover over the knobs. Then i unplugged it from one end and removed it. Then i got on your site and found the part which was very easy. Then 5 days later ireceived it and put it back in everything is working well.

Removed and Replaced Fan motor..... Problem is my trouble shooting caused me to R&R the motor when I didn't have to. I have a circuit board on order now. This unit is a heat pump and I think it is locked in the defrost cycle. Everything is working except the OD Fan Motor. Motor is good, Capacitors are good. Has to be the circuit boar ... Read more d. Easy repair. Wanted to comment on the ease of ordering the filter. I ordered it one morning and less than 24 hours later it was delivered. Definitely a pleasure doing business with you. Astounding. Thanx so much.

Didn't even take 5 minuets. Slide old one out, slide new one in.
