AGM585L Amana Range - Instructions

I used a screwdriver to pry the electrode assy. out of the burner. then disconnected the wire.
Then just connected the new electrode and place the assy, in the burner.

Disconnected gas & electric connections; lifted unit out of countertop onto padded table upside down. Unscrewed ~16 sheet metal screws for access. Removed bad ignitor by driving off retaining clip. Had to remove burner (3 screws) for access to install retaining clip on new ignitor. Reassembled, reinstalled. Works like new!

Purchased 2 piece broiler pan from this site

I didn't. Don't know how to get to light bulb to change it for this specific model

Ordered the leveling bolts, very fast shipping, parts correct as shown. Purchased a condo by the shore, frige had no levelers, they went in smoothly & was done in no time.

Used a pair of pliers and pulled firmly on ignit. elect. till the retaining clip pulled off the bottom of the elect.The wire pulled off the bottom of it and I had to use a long- thin- nose set of needlenose pliers to pull the wire out of where the elect. came out.Plugged wire in place and snapped electrode back in place without using the ... Removed the ice brucket,
Removed the light shield by releasing one screw using a nutdriver.
Replacing the bulb and reinstalled the light shield.

shortened gasket for this oven. moved hook approx. 1 inch. used high temp adhesive. simple fix.

removed igniter and found porcelin split in half. JB welded both halves and put back into slot ,works fine now. Bought two extra in case.

I tilted the unit back enough to scew the new legs into the threaded holes.

Slid the oven door off the hinges. Removed the 4 srews in the old hinges. Pulled the old hinges out of the front of the oven cabnet. installed new door hinges in oven cabnet with the 4 mounting srews.slid oven door on new hinges.

Pulled the power cord, and of course it stopped sparking. Removed the protection cover, I then removed the upper and lower screws with a screw driver. Pulled the module out so I could work. The hardest part was taking out original light bulb because screws on shield where hard to unscrew after all this years . The old bulb vent out leaving neck in socket.
