AGC585LL (P1143131NLL) Amana Range - Instructions

I used a screwdriver to pry the electrode assy. out of the burner. then disconnected the wire.
Then just connected the new electrode and place the assy, in the burner.

Disconnected gas & electric connections; lifted unit out of countertop onto padded table upside down. Unscrewed ~16 sheet metal screws for access. Removed bad ignitor by driving off retaining clip. Had to remove burner (3 screws) for access to install retaining clip on new ignitor. Reassembled, reinstalled. Works like new!

Purchased 2 piece broiler pan from this site

Used a pair of pliers and pulled firmly on ignit. elect. till the retaining clip pulled off the bottom of the elect.The wire pulled off the bottom of it and I had to use a long- thin- nose set of needlenose pliers to pull the wire out of where the elect. came out.Plugged wire in place and snapped electrode back in place without using the ... Ordered the leveling bolts, very fast shipping, parts correct as shown. Purchased a condo by the shore, frige had no levelers, they went in smoothly & was done in no time.

shortened gasket for this oven. moved hook approx. 1 inch. used high temp adhesive. simple fix.

removed igniter and found porcelin split in half. JB welded both halves and put back into slot ,works fine now. Bought two extra in case.

The most difficult part of the job was removing the retaining ring and installing the new ring.Job successfully completed.

I tilted the unit back enough to scew the new legs into the threaded holes.

ordered new broiler pan

Slid the oven door off the hinges. Removed the 4 srews in the old hinges. Pulled the old hinges out of the front of the oven cabnet. installed new door hinges in oven cabnet with the 4 mounting srews.slid oven door on new hinges.

Removed broiler door springs, removed door slide arms that attach to broiler tray, two screws on each side. Removed tray and replaced slide guides. Instassed in reverse order. Works great: Thanks, Best thing about this repair was that the parts ordered were right and fit..........

This is a simple replacement. The hardest part was that I had to shorten the seal because it comes 15 to 17 inches. So it needed to be shortened to properly fit. I cut the seal to fit, then took the metal hook on the end and super glued it to the cut end. I put a weight on it to make sure

removed one screw lifted he brner took retainer off unpluged the igniter it had broken porcelen reversed the procedure everything worked fine

Took off the back panel, unplugged the power cord, and tested the switch with an ohm meter. Found it open and ordered new switch. Replaced it easily and now have both elements working as required.
